Founded by legendary DJ Electric Indigo, female:pressure is an international network of female artists in the fields of electronic music: from musicians, composers and DJs to visual artists, cultural workers and researchers. The network comprises approx. 1220 members from 61 countries as of March 2014. Over the years we have had the pleasure and privilge to host female:pressure nights @ Tresor Club. The Lady Machine aka Kammy is a major reference among Brazilian techno DJs and remains one of the few DJs that has gained a reputation solely due to skills and music selection on the decks without achieving a career as a producer. She has been at the forefront of the underground electronic scene in Brazil for many years, and her skills have taken her around the globe. She stands by deep musical research and precise technique, her remarkably versatile sets, blend genres from techno in its many forms and variations to electro, acid and full industrial EBM, and when combined with her fast, furious, but tight mixing create a perfect atmosphere with the dancefloor. Persille is a talented DJ from Berlin and if her Soundcloud mixes are a good indication then the Strøm artist will deliver quite a brilliant set for the basement. Kaltès is a musician, producer and DJ living in Berlin. She has an extensive background in music and studied Art in Brussels. Now a passionate collector of strange and rare instruments, she is the sound-infatuated half of Anna Otto. She is also known as the promoter of “It’s Not Only Techno, Baby!”, an event she regularly host in Istanbul. She is an active member of female:pressure‘s international network. The +4Bar welcomes three f:p artists: Kit Kat Tat is a Berlin DJ, event promoter and music journalist based in Buenos Aires and Berlin, hosting brilliant parties and having been once the editor of Raveline. Ena Lind has been a mainstay of the Berlin scene since 2006. As a DJ of electronic music she exudes a creativity and energy that moves clubbers to their core and never fails to get the dance floor moving. Her feel for timing, her awareness of her audience, her selection of tunes and her sense for the theatrical transform her sets into dramatic performances, into musical journeys through the night. Kate Miller loves house music with elements of Chicago and Detroit, uplifting melodies and deep lyrical messages. Those who are familiar with Kate Miller recognise the intangible element that gives her sets a distinctive sound. Conitnually receiving bookings all over Europe, she continues to push her artistic boundries.
