Torus is the alias of Joeri Woudstra, an enigmatic artist based in Den Haag, Netherlands. His perplexing sound combines sound design tendencies towards experimentalism with post-rave ambiences. His recent project These Cars Do Not Exist was initially put together as a 24-minute and 24-second long work of compiled unreleased loops and drafts, accompanying video. It proposes an ambient, technoid outer world where soaring stretched atmospherics rise and crash with euphoric waves of emotion and escape.
