Tresor meets female:pressure
Thu 07 March 2019 - 23:59

Tonight the female:pressure platform returns to our home, curated by resident Kaltès. Kaltès is a musician, DJ and curator living between Berlin, having been hosting the female:pressure nights in our home for quite some time. She has an extensive background in music and studied jazz and improvisation in Brussels, before giving in Berlin’s darkest shade of techno. Her versatility as a DJ and producer has grown over the years to harder-hitting techno, infused with her unique sense. Her skill and depth across all her musical activities prove that “light doesn’t shine without darkness”, as one critic put. Kaltès is equally at ease building romantic, heady soundscapes as well as infamous techno. Having started as an active member of Bremen’s electronic subculture scene, Reka Zalan has later become resident and co-host of Berlin based Mensch Meier Club’s event series. In 2018 she has become the newest addition to the resident roster of ://Elements, one of the ambitious techno party concepts taking place at ://about blank. Apart from her DJ and nightlife activities, she’s working at the Berlin Music Commission, an all-embracing network representing Berlin music businesses. Always striving for deep and spheric moods built on impulsive rhythms, Reka Zalan‘s DJ sets are mainly characterized by gloomy vibes and hypnotic elements. Justine Perry is a Berlin-based Techno DJ. Influenced by the Berlin club scene, her sets are coloured by some dark and acid techno ambiences, which bring her public into the essence of Rave. Soon after she began her career as DJ, she became resident of two clubs in Paris, before recently beginning to play at some great venues in Paris, London and Berlin. After she moved to Berlin Justine Perry joined the Berlin-based concept Art Bei Ton as well as the creation of a light show with the VJ artist Lucy Williams. Returning artist The Lady Machine aka Kammy is a major reference among Brazilian techno DJs and remains one of the few DJs that has gained a reputation solely due to skills and music selection on the decks without achieving a career as a producer. She has been at the forefront of the underground electronic scene in Brazil for many years, and her skills have taken her around the globe. The Lady Machine stands by deep musical research and precise technique, her remarkably versatile sets, blend genres from techno in its many forms and variations to electro, acid and full industrial EBM, and when combined with her fast, furious, but tight mixing create a perfect atmosphere with the dancefloor.
