Berlin Atonal 2016
Stage Null hosts three producers who have pushed the boundaries of dancefloor oriented music. First is festival favourite Andreas Tilliander as TM404 – his analogue machine based live project which builds on the classic sounds and tropes of house and techno without falling into any of its cliches – a style which has seen Tilliander’s recent music described as ‘Detroit techno without the techno’. Andreas himself has described it as ‘somnolent acid’. Following this is a very special 4 hour double performance, by two heroes of hypnotic techno who take us on a deep, dark, trip to the very limits of electronic music. Few DJs and producers are as widely and universally acclaimed in techno circles as Donato Dozzy, but Lory D is a name that is criminally under-known, except of course, to the heads. As important to the 90s electronic music scene as Jeff Mills or Aphex Twin (for whom he released music for on Rephlex) Lory D is a true legend at a time where that moniker is often overused.
The aftershow schedule in Tresor, Globus and OHM is also stacked with talent – from a live show by Detroit heroes Ectomorph to the immaculate stylistics of Veronica Vasicka from Touchin’ Bass founder Andrea Parker to L.I.E.S chief Ron Morelli official, with Lena Willikens, Ike Release, Alvin Aronson, Sleep D and Simo Cell just some of the other participants in a fully loaded line-up.
Tickets available on the door and from here.
