This year’s Atonal Festival in Kraftwerk adjacent to Tresor Club will again feature some of the most exciting and respected artists from the international panorama of electronic music. And the weekend Tresor aftershows are indeed a highlight. In the basement Brooklyn-born, Berlin-based techno champion Adam X will play live as ADMX-71. A frequent guest for years now. the decks behind the bars is the perfect place for his wicked sounds. Mysterious Swedish duo Shxcxchcxsh also give up a live set, sure to stab at some of the darkened techno tracks from their excellent album “STRGTHS”. Our dear friends, the power-techno duo LADA aka Dasha Rush and Lars Hemmerling returns to the floor as well; and Ukraine artist Stanislav Tolkachev also plays a live set of his futuristic, minimalist, multi-layered tweaked techno. A Tresor Floor techno regalement deluxe! The Globus Floor welcomes a legendary techno duo, a rock in the birth of the genre. German techno producers Rene Löwe and Peter Kuschnereit were Scion in 1995 for the Emerge 12″, the initial release by the Berlin-based Chain Reaction label. The two then went their seperate ways: Löwe recording as Vainqueur (and leaving the ultimately legendary 90s techno anthem “Lyot” to history), Kuschnereit as DJ Pete and Substance – although they sometimes performed live together, such as at the 2000 Detroit Electronic Music Festival. As Scion they again joined forces in 2002 for “Arrange and Process Basic Channel Tracks”, a Tresor Records release comprised of Basic Channel tracks. The importance of this Scion live performance is quite obvious. Pinch aka Rob Ellis also compliments the line-up, Bristol’s leading man of dubstep who also runs Tectonic Recordings. The Italian duo Nico Vascellari and Nicolò Fortuni aka Ninos Du Brasil hit you with their explosive live act of Brazilian/Samba rhythms mixed with noise and hardcore aesthetics, all with theatrical wildness.
