BHC: new faces
Wed 24 September 2014 - 23:59

By 2012 Berlin-based French artist Coldgeist had intricately carved his sound into a faithful representation of his universe. Attracted by the dark side of the techno circle, his music nourishes on post-punk & new-wave scenes, but he also draws inspiration from occultism, astronomy and science fiction, while focusing his attention on creating strong atmosphere with particular texture using analog gear. Relying on those pillars he delivers a sound full of contrast and emotion he shares through live performances. In 2014 he decided to run his own label Ritual Process. Fellow Frenchman Yan Kaylen has chiseled his place in the club universe by constructing a distinctive style featuring the tribal aspect, dub bass and atmospheric English music, radical and mental industrial environments, and synthetic Berlin and American techno. The Dutch duo Shaken Opus also grace the Tresor decks, and hopefully will deliver some of the outstanding atmospheric sounds and broken beats from their Natch Records debut “Chemical Dependency” EP. As usual, Tresor brings each and every Wednesday an international ring of new faces to the attention of Berliners, tonight welcomed and hosted by our solidly veracious techno resident Synthek.
