Christopher Engelmann is Acierate, a young Berlin DJ who is a resident at the very underground Gravure parties in the capital, who celebrate one year of existance this Halloween night. With a stripped-down, industrial-tending hypnotic techno style, his set will be a sure-fire flame builder in the basement tonight. And to keep the beat right at the Gravure home base, fellow resident Martha will share the decks with her extremely energetic techno sets with blistering hits of sampled vocals, acid flashes and even rave stabbings that are guaranteed to fill the dancefloor. Both of these Berlin talents are hosted by Hardwax artist Mischa, a product of shifting technologized urban landscapes. Musically educated by computerized man machines, aquatic bata particles, and the rhythmic (re)formations of the hardcore continuum, he tirelessly searches for uncompromising dance music. On the journey, Mischa has developed a very distinct hybrid between techno, house, grime/dubstep, and drum and bass. Berlin’s Braulio Bandeira aka Deepneue provides some futuristic, trippy electronica in the Aurora Bar.
