VENT is a platform for headstrong artists to communicate their own perspectives of techno, and is built upon an ongoing creative dialogue between Eskisehir, Turkey and Gothenburg, Sweden. VENT has gotten acclaim for its bold releases that combine personal style with the essential techno characteristica. There is a love for the roots of techno ingrained in the label, which makes this night special indeed. The philosophy of the label has been to bring forth and amplify the individualistic streaks of artists and let them explore their own sound, and VENT hasn’t been afraid of picking up new talent that has been previously unreleased. Representing the label tonight is VENT’s head honcho Tolga Baklacıoğlu, who is the main curator of the label’s catalogue. He will play a vinyl set where he expands on his views on techno and perhaps make clearer the esoteric philosophy of VENT. Label henchman Arbiter aka Ingemar Stalholm is a producer, DJ, and performer of gritty and hypnotic techno, who will perform a hardware liveset. Daniel Andréasson has recently enjoyed much success with his acidic lofi released on numerous labels, and he too will add to the live dimension of the evening. VENT’s favourite sweetheart Cindy will come along to indefatigably spread raw, industrial, sonic destruction until day breaks on Christmas eve.
