Firmly settled in his adopted hometown of Berlin, British Producer, DJ and label operator Ed Davenport has resolutely carved out a sound of his own within the underground Deep House and Techno scene. Releasing music and DJing internationally for over 10 years, Ed Davenport now runs his own label, Counterchange Recordings, co-runs Infrastructure New York with its founder and close colleague Function, and records under his Inland guise. Locked Groove’s strength lies in his uncanny ability to shift between the industrial jams of Berlin and the lighter, deeper tones of spritely Chicago house with real guile and finesse. Both sides of his coin carry strong currency, and effectively showcase his strong natural potential as a long-term artist with a bold, ongoing influence – a true crossover threat. Baikal proves worthy of his namesake—a lake in Siberia, the deepest in the world. Baikal resides in Berlin and makes multi-layered electronic music for the heart, mind and feet. Preferably all at the same time and on his imprint Maeve, a joint venture with Mano Le Tough and The Drifter. Downstairs in Tresor: Initial Berlin is a Berlin-based record label. By interacting with several fields of creation, it defends an open-minded techno faithful to itself and its origins. This showcase presents three artists from the Initial Berlin’s family. Mattia Trani is regarded as one of the most talented and interesting young artists of the new techno scene. In 2012 he founded his own vinyl label “Pushmaster Discs” that has lead him to a debut that will allow him to work with international artists such as Juan Atkins, Dj Hyperactive, Ilario Alicante, Rolando, Dj Stingray, Skudge, Orlando Voorn, Santiago Salazar and many others. He will also release the first EP on Initial Berlin, coming in September. Kalli is a Manchester-born artist residing in London, with a focus on different electronic sounds. He has released sounds on Files Records, MDNGHT Records, Origami Sound and Initial Berlin, and is currently releasing his own material. Most of his releases purposely differ from the previous ones; as he studies and progresses working with various styles, stemming from his inspiration taken from Surgeon, the early era of Warp Records, ravey acid house and lots of industrial and hard-hitting music such as Kanzleramt (to name one), flavoured with elements from Detroit techno. Kalli has exciting forthcoming releases both on some heavy record labels including releasing a few off his own bandcamp. His mission statement is to put the listener into a medicinal trance-like state while simultaneously injecting the gravy of the rave into the receiver’s audio canal, with hopes of communicating with their sonic celestial version of themselves, as well as their holding bodies. Julian Muller is founder and owner of  “Initial Berlin”, is a French vinyl junkie who will always provide you an open-minded selection and who considers any party set as a new experience to share his vision, going through all kinds of techno, connecting his latest crushes to true classics.
