Bonito House Club - new faces
Wed 16 July 2014 - 23:59

The return of Bonito House Club Wednesdays in Globus. The legendary house music night since the beginnings of Tresor Club kicks off with an Electronique Showcase. Jordan Peak is one of the most interesting and versatile new acts to emerge from the British scene. His music deftly straddles the line between house and techno, and his ability to fuse old school values with the fresh sounds of now has resulted in a swift rise which has been as rapid as it has been unsurprising. In 2013 he launched his new label Rogue Society – a definite artist to watch. French DJ Okain has been collecting, spinning and producing music for 15 years. Performing under various aliases such as Samuel Thalmann, Lezar and Handycraft, his tracks find themselves on distinguished labels as well as DJing in top international venues. The discograyphy of Alex Krüger aka Tigerskin aka Dub Taylor aka Korsakow is mind-bending. A German producer, composer and DJ, Tigerskin is a maverick in the field and can literally command full attention with his excellent live set. Hungarian DJ Gabor Nemethy aka Snilloc rose to international recognition in the scene, releasing tracks on several prominent labels. In 2014 he releases a 3 track EP on one of the most respected labels worldwide, 8bit. London-based DJ and producer Michael Bibi plays back-to-back with Manchester outfit Andy Shef & Si Heslin aka A.S.S.H. to frame this Electronique night. The basement floor’s new faces SPECIAL welcomes legendary Damon Wild to the decks. With a career that began in the early days of house and techno in NYC, Damon Wild has been at the forefront of the electronic and acid music scene since the early ’90s when he began Experimental Records and later the renowned Synewave. He first gained success with acid tracks and productions such as “Pulzar”, “Avion” and “Bang The Acid”. Australian DJane Suzy aka Qu-Zen has a reputation for tight mixing, tasteful programming and an unwavering devotion to techno. She is resident at Sydney’s grimiest underground techno night “Darkroom” so we can safely say her mix of gritty low end, crisp percussive rhythms and intelligent melodic elements is “at home” on the Tresor Floor. The program is hosted by our accomplished resident 88UW.
