Bonito House Club and new faces are Wednesday icons in the history of Berlin electronic dance music. One of the leading forces behind deep and forward thinking club music and commercial productions alike, Michael Vater a.k.a Phonique is on the go like few others in Berlin. His successful parties and club nights paved him the way to become one of the nice guys in Berlin’s nightlife. First he only organized parties, after a while he started to DJ himself: “DJ Phonqiue” was born. A Bonito resident since 1999, his “freestyle” profile became the talk of Berlin and in the international venues where he played. The humble Dessous and Poker Flat artist has a list of cooperation projects to drop anyone’s jaw, and currently he has been working with Alex Krüger (Dub Taylor / Korsakow / Tigerskin) for example. Tonight he shares the decks with Bestworks DJ André Lodemann and Alive from Budapest. The new faces special on the Tresor Floor welcomes Bryan Chapman, a part of the conveyor of talent that hails from the ever-growing, undercurrent of modern techno that is found on the shores of the south coast of England. Bryan is firmly established on some of the scene’s most important and prolific labels (including Cari Lekebusch’s H-Production) and his stock continues to rise as a well-respected talent, in demand as both a producer and a DJ. Young Spanish DJ Jose Pouj worked his way from small clubs in central Spain to residencies in Madrid, working on tracks with top Spanish contemporaries before landing the chance to record with the great Oscar Mulero. People are raising eyebrows and talking out loud about this rising Iberian talent. The night is hosted by Tresor basement resident DJ and techno underground stalwart Krenzlin.
