One of the most highly respected acts in both techno and industrial circles, Orphx have been developing their signature fusion of hypnotic rhythms and experimental noise for the past twenty years. Using modular and analog synthesizers, software, location recordings and feedback circuits, Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey draw upon the darker, psychedelic fringes of electronic dance music and combine these elements with the experimental aesthetics and themes of early industrial music. Kenneth Christiansen has been DJing all over Europe the last decade, playing in top clubs in most capitals. The Danish artist runs the labels Echocord and Echocord Colour, and the Pattern Repeat project with Resoe, as well as booker/co-owner/manager of the club Culture Box in Copenhagen. We welcome back Stockholm’s Acronym, a strength-gaining member of Abdulla Rashim’s Northern Electronics bandcamp. With the intensity of his relentless, cutting-edge sounds, so brilliantly explored in his Dimensional Exploration series, to the stripped bare and excellent demo track 02 on our label – a step further is Acronym‘s live set that simply mesmerizes. Refracted has released some of his dub-techno on lables such as Connwax and Silent Season. Deep rhythms and atmospheric elements have always played a major role in Refracted‘s music. Be it through hypnotic grooves or mesmerising soundscapes, the journey is always assured. On the Globus Floor: Deepchord was originally a partnership of Rod Modell and Mike Schommer, but later became a solo project of Rod Modell. The sounds at work are predominantly those associated with dub-techno: dubby beats, crisp static, synthetic analogue grooves, and deep chords – think Basic Channel. No stranger to Tresor, the DeepChord performance at the Atonal Festival was a highlight. Unbroken artist Héctor Oaks was born in Madrid and now lives in Berlin. He is a young artist who is enjoying a lot of success both as a DJ and as a producer. Héctor Oaks continues to increase in recent years by releasing on labels like Key Vinyl, Quant Records, Sonntag Morgen and Par Recordings. Returning artist from the UK, producer/ DJ Pris launched his label Resin in 2013 with the release of “Unbeknown To Us” 4-track. The elusive artist describes his label “naturalistic yet industrial soundscapes mixed with melodic and driving club-focused productions”. SDX is the producer alias of Suicide Berlin resident DJ BeNi, also a guest in our home. His latest release “The Day She Asks For Forgiveness” on SCR Dark Series features fine tracks from electro to 808 banger to minimalistic string themes. Underground and infectious.
