Echoes.09: just over six months after echoes.08, the ninth edition of the series grabs both floors tonight with some very eclectic and compelling artists. We welcome back the American-Dutch producer and graphic designer Sheela Rahman aka Xosar with her mystical and exotic broken house-psychedelia that she dazzled us with a few years back. Having played in practically all of the most well-known venues on the globe, we are once again stoked about her terrific live set tonight. Releasing on Tresor Records under his alias Karl O’Connor, Regis has a greater mythology surrounding the influential Downwards label that he has run with fellow art terrorist Peter Sutton (Female) since 1993. Unconventional and single-minded to say the least (what label can boast a back catalogue free of the industry standard cash cow remix) by decentralising the focus on the DJ/producer personality, Regis remains one of the more highly regarded creative forces within the British techno/electronic scene, often collaborating with Function under the Sandwell District moniker – a true underground legend. Ancient Methods was originally an industrial/techno duo of Conrad Protzmann & Michael Wollenhaupt aka Baeks & Trias: now it’s been Trias’ one man project since Baeks’ departure. Both originally integral DJs in the former legendary Tresor Headquarters team, today Ancient Methods takes this genre and drives you into its vortex right on the dancefloor. Returning artist from the UK, producer/ DJ Pris launched his label Resin in 2013 with the release of “Unbeknown To Us” 4-track. The elusive artist describes his label “naturalistic yet industrial soundscapes mixed with melodic and driving club-focused productions”. Tresor techno resident Mischa closes the Tresor Floor. In Globus: New York native Reade Truth has been rocking the decks since 1990. His first of over two dozen releases came out in 1994. Known as a DJ’s DJ, he consistently provides dance floors with intelligent, innovative often edgy electronics always delivered with style. Known for his meticulous DJ blends, Reade Truth is regularly serving up irresistible mixes that range from house to techno to industrial to new beat to unexplainable. Kosta Athanassiadis is XDB, whose deep and intensive love for electronic music was his driving force to start a DJ career in 1993. In 2006 XDB founded his own record label „Metrolux“ on which he has released several EPs, creating a reputation for his distinctive sound design. S-max is a club DJ since 1991 and a producer since 1993. Resident and founder of DJ team “SUPERLBEEP” (together with LOSOUL ), in 2000 S-max started the BOOGIZM label together with fym. S-max delivers with a substantial, yet very danceable selection of tracks of different eras and styles. Richard Zepezauer is owner of the label  “n s y d e”, providing him with his own personal way of keeping this focus alive. The broad range displayed in his DJ sets testifies of his lifelong passion for music and record digging, and his recent cooperation with various renowned 20th century classics ensembles is a testament of Richard Zepezauer‘s diversity.
