The return of our continuing female:pressure nights, an ever-eclectic, edgy night with a terrific line-up for the 8th edition. Over the course of two decades, Chinedum Nwosu aka Shinedoe has carved a path into the world of house and techno that is entirely her own. Shinedoe is an international DJ, producer and founding spirit of Amsterdam imprint Intacto Records. Her unique vision of electronic dance music, combined with her talent, dynamism and pioneering spirit have acted as a springboard, propelling her to the forefront of house and techno global club scenes. Now with around 100 releases to its name, Intacto represents a distinct approach to electronic music – rooted in respect, quality and professionalism, yet wildly courageous and adventurous in its releases. fr.JPLA is is not only associated with female:pressure but a handful of innovative labels and projects including the Institut für Zukunft Leipzig. It’s been some time since Karina Qanir has stood behind the Tresor decks, she is a very underground Berlin DJ since 1998, sticking closely to electro, techno or other alternative veins. And a female:pressure night is of course not without Kaltès, a musician, producer with an extensive background in music and art.. Now a passionate collector of strange and rare instruments, Kaltès is the sound-infatuated half of Anna Otto. She is also known as the promoter of “It’s Not Only Techno, Baby!”, an event she regularly host in Istanbul. In Globus, Nena Hatun us a very underground Berlin DJ, spinning a gritty set of Ghetto Techno, associated with Bedouin Records. Maya Postepski aka Princess Century never stops. She is a prolific remix artist, DJ and she co-wrote and produced TRST with Robert Alfons as Trust (Arts & Crafts). Soumaya Phéline a.k.a. Soumaya DanceMachine has been bringing a breath of fresh air to Belgium since 2006, performing all over Europe for major music, fashion and art events in top clubs. Known for her unique style and fancy footwork ranging from House to Techno, she handles a dance floor like no one else until the early dawn. Soumaya is the founder of High Needs Low, Holy Something, Cry Me A Sea parties in Brussels and produced music with her colleague and friend DkA under the name Bernard & Bianca. Arcane Onde is the moniker Andrea Noce uses for her DJ sessions. Arcane hosts together with Alexa D!Saster the radio program DotCa at Radio Rixdorf, Sameheads. Here in the most sweated cellar of Berlin, she shares desks with Ondula at their night called Diapason. This regular appointment highlights the propagation of electronic sound, the different medias, and the randomities in the music-machine.
