Final Knall
Fri 30 December 2016 - 23:59

The night before NYE has become a tradition in the past few years, and the Final Knall party is a hot nightclub tip in Berlin. In Globus we welcome Perlon artist and Berlin club DJ kingfish Mario Radecki alias Sammy Dee. Through Sammy‘s audiophile and distinctive presence, subtle bass-lines are consistently oscillating alongside psychotic tunes, chopped and edgy explorations float through intangibly grotesque layers – all flawlessly sailing around a mediocre moment of time with a trademark, mischievous Perlon smile. Sammy founded his own label Ultrastretch at the end of 2010 with a collective of like-minded musicians and cultivated artists who were ready to walk with him on his underground community based path into a non-genre-focussed and cross-benched/forthright future. For over 15 years Dorian Paic has been running Raum…Musik together with Olaf Zern. A passionate lover of vinyl, Dorian revels in the unique warmth and analogue sound of black wax. Now Berlin-based, Dorian still retains close ties to his home city of Frankfurt. A respected DJ and much-loved behind the scenes figure, Paic has done it all. He’s best known for his longstanding association with Frankfurt institutions such as Cocoon, Robert Johnson and the now-closed Freebase Records, where he worked for close to a decade. For the last 12 years, Berlin-born Janina developed an impressive sharp ear, technical skills, an asserted signature, despite continuously evolving music tastes. Playing regularly in the best clubs in Berlin and in European capitals, Janina is now playing twice a month as a resident of Monasterio Club in Moscow. In Tresor: Perc is one of electronic dance music’s reference points: an internationally touring DJ, Perc Trax label owner and one of the most respected producers in techno today. Known as one of the most forward-thinking individuals in techno Perc (aka London based Ali Wells) fuses current sounds with his extensive knowledge of electronic music’s past to create something new & unique. Appearing on top international labels and in the world’s most famous venues, Perc’s sound is a fusion of the cream of current techno mixed with choice selections from electronic music’s forefathers. Serbian artist Nikola Grebovic aka Scalameriya, who runs the Techno/ IDM/ Industrial label Gnesa and whose collaboration with VSK on Perc Trax – “Haka” raised international eyebrows following their first work together “Power Vacuum”. Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno DJ and producer, born in Rome in 1986 and based in Berlin, whose style ranges from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind. Tom Russell is Truss, a Welsh techno artist who puts a highly unique and raw, raunchy touch to his harde-edged primal-to-industrial sounds, that reach vast edges of a techno spectrum. With influences from Berlin early techno pioneers to the 90s UK New School à la Ruskin, Truss also grabbed a lot of deserved attention for his jams with Perc.  Returning artist P.E.A.R.L.‘s sets are characterized by broken rhythms and deep sounds, showing industrial influences. A former member of the group “Agony Forces”, that performed at the most important clubs and festivals in Spain, P.E.A.R.L.‘s restless and innovative nature often leads him to look for the sounds far beyond the dance club, bringing him closer to the other fields of electronic and experimental music. Ophism’s label artist Gaja completes the Tresor line-up.
