Sweat Lodge is a very cool Berlin-based universe of musical talent, networking within a spectrum of booking agency, label, event management and radio. They also happen to be good friends of ours and their regular Sweat Lodge nights in our home have become the stuff of club buzz and quality electronica. To celebrate their 10th anniversary are three delectable turntablists: returning artist Adam Marshall is a very compelling DJ from Canada with diverse tendencies ranging from minimal to electro to quite infectious spacey groove, and also is the boss of the New Kanada label. A DJ since the early nineties, Matthias Vogt experienced dance music’s fast growing and constantly altering change as a part of Frankfurt’s vital club scene. Together with his friend, infamous producer Ian Pooley, Vogt forms M.V.I.P.- (Aviator EP / Pooled, Barrique EP / Lazy Days) and in another incarnation, wrote, arranged and recorded seven jazz studio albums! This chameleon artist returns to the decks after mesmerizing Tresor clubbers last January. Flashes of kitsch brighten the dark universe of Iron Curtis, but fail to interfere with the melancholy subtext. He is currently living in Berlin and releasing for Mirau, Retreat, Mule Electronic, Smallville to name a few. Happy decade Sweat Lodge!
