Persuasion is Will Lynch (AKA Timecop) and Sarj, a DJ duo formed in Boston in 2006, based in Berlin since 2010, founders of the parties and radio shows Persuasion and Pueblo (with Jack “Atmosphere” Haighton), purveyors of post-punk, new wave, italo, techno-not-techno, disco-not-disco and house-not-house. And now is the time to check them out in the expanse of the Globus Floor. Sean Phillips aka 12 x 12 is a Berlin-based producer is co-founder of the labels Voodoo Down Records and Rock and Roll Records. He released the track “Sass” on the mixed 12” Possible Side Effects, Vol. 1 in 2012 on Voodoo, Kobayashi Maru EP in 2014 on Voodoo, and two tracks on the Sine Yo Pitty On The Runny Kine Volume 1 release together with N’conduit. “Space Dub,” the A-side from UK artist Gramryc‘s 12-inch on Charles Drakeford’s label certainly pricked up some ears last December. Fresh from his inclusion in UK’s Varkala Festival line-up last August, his August London Boiler Room set is certainly a thumbs up. Last March Gramryc also contributed a remix of Lump’s “Spectres” that came out earlier, alongside versions by musicians Mogwai, Factory Floor, etc.
