Luc Mastenbroek is Luc Mast from Amsterdam, who invites deejays at De School and sometimes plays out, especially in summertime – and for us in the spring. Played Nachtiville, Dekmantel Festival, Trouw, Lentekabinet, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Selectors. With so much artistic talent under his De School wing, tonight Luc Mast ventures to the German capital and expresses his personal turntablism for the House Of Waxx program. Returning to HoW: Nick Verbakel is Kennedy, a Dutch artist who with Dion is one-half of Amsterdam’s Warehouse universe, a very popular club night, providing international artists the opportunity to play longer sets, where it all remains warm, organic and danceable. Canadian Dane MacDonald’s timely meeting of disco master Koosh coupled with the support of his resident venue, The Common, was the gentle push Dane needed to create Common Edit. Starting out as a simple excuse to press a record, throw a party and have a time, Common Edit soon became home for Western Canadians like Eddie C, Khotin, Koosh, The Mole and others specializing in 7” cuts for the floor and the bedroom. Relocating to Berlin, Dane is submerged in non-stop digging of House, Disco, Techno, and all things in between have left him with deep crates ready for any floor that needs jumpin’.
