Marko Pelaic aka Homeboy is a Croatian artist currently based in Berlin. After dabbling with rave in the late 90s in the Sibenik area, 2001 saw him dive into the techno mecca of Frankfurt. It was at Zagreb’s famous Masters and Sirup clubs that Homeboy had the chance to shape his skills as one of the scene’s premier live acts, while he became a regular artist at world famous Croatian electronic festivals. Staple UK labels such as Hypercolour and Wolf Music were soon in line to enlist his talents, and in 2012 he formed his own label House Is OK. A student of rhythm, returning HoW guest Alison Swing has dedicated herself to exploring sounds that can make a body move, a skill she’s put to use spinning alongside an impressive list of supreme selectors. With her curator-in-crime, Masha, Alison Swing is also a co-founder and resident DJ of Dig Deeper, the party series in-the-know locals flock to for un-Shazamable cuts spanning warm house, euphoric disco, Scandinavian beats, romantic techno, and everything in between—the weirder and funkier, the better. Sanctuary consists of three vinyl enthusiasts (Marcelino / LHJ / Sergio) living under the same roof. Graduating between funk, soul & early house territory, the club floor groove of this dance music project is a welcome back sound to House Of Waxx. Since its inception in 2014, Sanctuary have based their entire ethos around sharing quality music to others, as expressed in their bi-monthly curation at OHM where they’ve invited a broad range of admired selectors to play an extended set.
