House Of Waxx
Mon 09 October 2017 - 23:59

Returning to House Of Waxx: Canadian Dane MacDonald’s timely meeting of disco master Koosh coupled with the support of his resident venue, The Common, was the gentle push Dane needed to create Common Edit. Starting out as a simple excuse to press a record, throw a party and have a time, Common Edit soon became home for Western Canadians like Eddie C, Khotin, Koosh, The Mole and others specializing in 7” cuts for the floor and the bedroom. Relocating to Berlin, Dane is submerged in non-stop digging of House, Disco, Techno, and all things in between have left him with deep crates ready for any floor that needs jumpin’. And indeed his label artist Khotin returns to the decks as well, from Vancouver, Canada and is currently involved in running the label/party series ‘Normals Welcome’. He releases on 1080p, Normals Welcome, Fauxpas Musik, Heart to Heart, Common Edit. Operating out of Berlin and returning to HoW after a two year absence, Amila is a French DJ and selector based in Berlin, whose work at the head of labels Altered Soul Experiment and IDO (International Dance Organization), founded alongside Valentino Mora has catapulted to the forefront of the Berlin underground scene. From a distance, it’s easy to distinguish the fragrances wafting across the grooves in which Amila indulges himself, bending and spinning before full crowds of absorbed ears, oozing nothing but compelling elixirs of funk, house, soul, hip-hop and jazz, tinged with a sixth sense for shaping truly immersive atmospheres and fascinating sound reliefs.
