House of Waxx

A student of rhythm, returning HoW guest Alison Swing has dedicated herself to exploring sounds that can make a body move, a skill she’s put to use spinning alongside an impressive list of supreme selectors. With her curator-in-crime, Masha, Alison Swing is also a co-founder and resident DJ of Dig Deeper, the party series in-the-know locals flock to for un-Shazamable cuts spanning warm house, euphoric disco, Scandinavian beats, romantic techno, and everything in between—the weirder and funkier, the better. Echoing hypnotic melodies and haunting rhythms, Giuseppe Albrizio and Sergio Caio, have given form to Hiver back in 2012. Since then, they’ve started defining their aesthetic path, driven by dark and distant elements slowly evolving in a mould of linear rhythms. Their debut EP “A Day”, on Vidab Records in 2012, has been followed by the highly acclaimed “Blue Aconite” EP, released via Curle Recordings and including a Tobias remix. These resounding successes resulted in Hiver touring internationally and a residency in Milan’s Dude Club. Also returning to House Of Waxx: Canadian Dane MacDonald’s timely meeting of disco master Koosh coupled with the support of his resident venue, The Common, was the gentle push Dane needed to create Common Edit. Starting out as a simple excuse to press a record, throw a party and have a time, Common Edit soon became home for Western Canadians like Eddie C, Khotin, Koosh, The Mole and others specializing in 7” cuts for the floor and the bedroom. Relocating to Berlin, Dane is submerged in non-stop digging of House, Disco, Techno, and all things in between have left him with deep crates ready for any floor that needs jumpin’.
