House of Waxx
Mon 07 January 2019 - 23:59

Northern Europe in House of Waxx tonight. Bram Steenhuis is Long Bram, a DJ from the Netherlands who is the co-founder, director, curator and resident at OOST club in the northern city of Groningen. Bram managed to form a club to the likes of the DJ’s and the audience. Being there every night the club was open, feeling the atmosphere in OOST has become part of his nature and tonight we welcome him to the Globus decks. Returning artist Katerina is from Helsinki, Finland via Sofia, Bulgaria, a passionate music lover, a skilful DJ, an imaginative music maker and an emotional and hypersensitive artist. She produces music that is essential and timeless – you can hear it on some of the latest Cómeme releases, notably Katerina’s first successful EP “Just when you thought it was over”. Her sets are always avant-garde and psychedelic, filled with Punk sensibility and heavily emotional on all levels; you’ll swing through a heavy pumping techno beat to suddenly find yourself floating in a cloud of dreamy electro vibes, being tossed around between mellow and heavy, melancholic and ecstatic sounds, once Katerina has seduced the crowd and it’s willing to go through all highs and lows with her on an intense sonic and sensual adventure. Gaining notoriety and appreciation for promoting the Love Potion series in Stockholm, Mattias Polanco has a never-ending love for the scene and the underground. More and more renowned for his performance as a selector, he carries a bag with a wide-array of records, always curating them in an elegant manor into something that must be described as eclectic and always utterly danceable. Together with a fellow Stockholm DJ, Polanco has founded a record label with the name Dive II Swim, compiling gems from both established producers and upcoming talent. He also runs his own label Love Potion. Polanco has played together with some of the most interesting names within the contemporary music scene.
