A reputed record collector and vinyl digger, Manchester born original house head, Nick Vu Hoang aka Nick V is an all-vinyl DJ from Paris who relies on smooth but dynamic mixing technique to build his sets around the classic House music sound, often incorporating a blend of other genres such as Disco, Deep Techno, Broken Beat, Boogie and Dance floor Jazz. During his residencies Nick V encourages his crowd to connect to the positive energy of dance via free classes or Vogue balls given at the start of his nights. A seasoned DJ and audiophile, known for Soulful and energetic sets, Nick V has played across the world in numerous venues. His reputation has grown with the success of the residencies he helped to establish since 2003 in the French capital : Guys & Dolls, Otra Otra, Ballroom and today Mona. Since Akirahawks settled down for good in Berlin, he has been spreading thick sheets of intergalactic space-funk over various crowds at some of the German capital’s top underground local clubs. Also deeply involved in the record label game, Akirahawks runs the ‘House Mannequin’ imprint alongside his label partner Shingo Suwa, which has enjoyed major support from true “wide-eyed” House legends. Pushing quality over quantity, the releases are known for their raw, alternative and versatile disco / house sounds and are an accurate reflection of Akira‘s tastes and selections when he’s playing out. Returning House Of Wax guest Julian Besancon aka Juliano is from Lyon and has no limits in his mixes’ approach: House, Techno, Funk, Disco, Acid, Italo or even more, from past to present, will always be used to reach a magical and vibrant moment to keep clubbers on a higher dancefloor level. Now Berlin-based, Juliano formed his own label That Place on which he released his first EP, with a second in the works. As a DJ, he spins music from past to present with an unique versatile and mesmerising mixing style. Since his Berlin residency Juliano has performed in most major clubs in the German capital.
