House of Waxx
Mon 04 November 2019 - 23:59

We welcome back artist Doc Sleep who cut her chops as a DJ in San Francisco’s vibrant scene the past decade, before making a move to Berlin in 2016. Since 2013, she’s been the co-owner of Jacktone Records, which specializes in techno, ambient, leftfield and experimental electronics. Doc Sleep broadcasts on cult favorite, Intergalactic FM, for several years and in 2016 and 2017 released her first two 12’s on the Hot Mass-affiliated Detour Records and Bottom Forty, with many more tracks and remixes on various distinguished labels, and continues to tour internationally. Jason Fellows also is known under his moniker Faso, no stranger to our home and making quite a buzz after founding the now legendary Discovery label & event series from Brooklyn together with Free Magic. Also a resident at Sublimate, Jason Fellows fluxuates between New York and Berlin, creating house music magic with each memorable set. From Seattle, Ceci Cor-Leo aka CCL, co-founder of Research and Action Potential, completes this night’s House Of Waxx line-up. CCL specializes in the liquefaction of rhythmic and melodic matter – combustive phase transitions through cowgirl-breaks, trip-funk, wiggle steppers. Part of electronic music and art collective TUF as well as working as co-director on New Forms Festival, Action Potential, Research and Decibel, their hard work is helping to shape North America’s music community. In the past year, their mixes and sets introduced international listeners to their distinct sound and received accolades from RA, Pitchfork, Mixmag and FACT, but they suggest you meet them on the dancefloor.
