New York-based Tinton Duvante has a musical history spanning back to the early 90’s, as co-creator of the seminal techno band Body Release (alongside Todd Sines, Charles Noel and Mike Szewczyk), and on through a multifaceted career as a composer, recording artist, producer, remixer, record label owner and DJ. Titonton Duvante continues to evolve creatively, and as a DJ he is known for blurring the boundaries of electronic music genres, deconstructing, blending and rebuilding beats with his special brand of turntablism. Straddling the line between the outer reaches of Motorcity sounds and the sheer force of his own musical imagination, his sound very much lives in its own sphere, bringing his extraordinary style to nightclubs around the world. Returning to House Of Wax: S-max is a club DJ since 1991 and a producer since 1993. Resident and founder of DJ team “Superbleep” (together with Losoul), in 2000 S-max started the Boogizm label together with “fym” ghassemlou. S-max delivers with a substantial, yet very danceable selection of tracks of different eras and styles. His DJ sets are built on “real” house music, real minimal, funky minimal, electro, House and Techno understood as electronic funk, occasionally including a dubstep / UK Bass track , or disco… creating a unique energy on the floor – all mixed to generate a genuine flow of groove and funkiness – jackin’ it thoroughly! S-max manages to present a wide selection of dancetrax without losing focus on a rockin’ party. We also welcome Christopher Rau back to the decks, after delivering great sets in our home the past few years. He has recorded two albums for Smallville records and several singles, EPs and remixes on various labels. His earlier tracks show influence from the Berlin dub techno school around Basic Channel, and in 2008 Rau drew attention for his the hypnotic deep track “Ne Travaillez Jamais”, which appears on his own label Derivé Schallplatten, run by his friends Björnski, Maximilian and himself. “Asper Clouds” appears in 2010 and develops into one of the best-selling longplayers of the year in house and techno circles.
