Every Monday we involve different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo! Sakro is a young talented DJ and producer of house music, born in Aguascalientes, Mexico. His sound is influenced by Chicago and Detroit vibes, always keeping a good mix of jazz, hip-hop, soul and of course house music. Sakro is a clear example of the new wave of Mexican artists and we are pleased to welcome him to the Globus decks. Stepping out from behind his assumed identities, Fred Aubourg aka Oleg Poliakov is an artist ready to embrace what he has achieved so far even as he looks to where he might be heading. You may have already experienced his micro house and electro experiments as Skat, or even caught the Destination Danger collaborations with Guillaume Coutu Dumont, but his most prolific work in recent times has certainly been as Oleg Poliakov. Emerging from a myth about a lonely Siberian boy discovering house and techno by chance, Aubourg has gone on to forge a captivating back catalogue of releases for labels as highly regarded as Bass Culture, Eklo and Phonogramme. The bubbling house and garage records of the late 90’s paved the way for Sankt Göran’s musical exploration and we welcome back the Brick by brick he constructed his sound, from glimmering disco cuts to throbbing house: one of Gotheburg’s most prolific DJs and promoters, he makes dance floors crack and basements rock, and formed his own label The Free Spirit Society in 2012. After moving to Berlin in 2013 he has quickly forged his way into the German capital’s club scene.
