House Of Waxx
Mon 05 October 2015 - 23:59

Every Monday we involve different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo!  A duo formed by the brothers Lloyd and Kevin Keene is K.E.E.N.E., who since 2010 have become a reference for house and techno music in Panama. The duo has created important spaces for the promotion as well as enjoyment of electronic music in Panama, and their commitment to develop local talent has also enticed them to create their own label, Late Night Music, which main goal is to promote local producers in an international market. As partners/ founders of Teatro Amador in 2013, nominated in DJ Mag’s Top 100 best clubs in the world, K.E.E.N.E.‘s music is a process that is as organic as it is electronic, a sound clearly seductive and elegant, taking elements of deep, house and techno genres. Carlos Álvarez is Carlo, a Spanish DJ now based in Berlin, whose 2015 release on his and Baldo’s Neovinyl Recordings “Aliquindoi”, and this month’s “Forget Me Not” on his and Baldo’s second label Good Ratio Music (both Barcelona/Berlin based), reveal a sophisticated, sparkling, elegant modern house music style just right for the Globus Floor. And we also welcome back frequent guest artist P.Toile, whose sound developed from French house to minimal techno, while funk and soul of the seventies yet her main music roots can be still heard in her DJ sets. P.Toile‘s productions are especially speaking to a more mature and music conscious audience, with productions ranging from down-tempo, to up-lifting house – minimal – techno, via airy emotional house, always spiced up with some funk.
