Every Monday we involve different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo! Iron Curtis’ pieces originate in a place simultaneously tuned to the sounds of Detroit, Chicago and Hamburg. Intertwining Deep-House with soulful Techno in a disturbingly enchanting manner, his sound moves in the equilibrium of reduced, but never minimal. Flashes of kitsch brighten the dark universe of Iron Curtis, but fail to interfere with the melancholy subtext. He is currently living in Berlin and releasing for Mirau, Retreat, Mule Electronic, Smallville to name a few. He is one half of the well acclaimed Achterbahn D’Amour outfit with releases on Acid Test. From Gothenburg, Sweden, we welcome back Joel Alter who always makes it difficult to pinpoint his style. Extremely diverse, including releases on contrasting labels Gigolo and M-nus, Joel Alter has his roots in the vibrant Gothenburg music scene of the late 80’s. Inspired by the funk movement and the growing rave scene, he started DJing in 1995. In 2011 he worked together with Henrik Jonsson as Jonsson/Alter and the album Mod was relased on the Swedish label Kontra Musik. We also give a warm welcome back to frequent guest Elie Eidelman: the NYC born and Israeli raised DJ has been playing for over 15 years around the globe bringing his unique blend and attitude to the dance floor and powerful Sweatlodge podcasts. While working behind the scene for JackOff, Sweat Lodge Radio and SLIM, Elie Eidelman is continually readying new productions and collaborations.
