Every Monday we involve different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo! Tonight the return of DIRT CREW. Break 3000 and James Flavour are Dirt Crew, who also run Dirt Crew Recordings. Their sound is a mixture of old school house and new school techno. From their first EP “Cleaning up the Ghetto Part I” on MBF they gathered respect in the industry, mastering the art of mixing old school house, new school deep house and minimal funky techno. The “Crew” are well known for an eclectic taste in vinyl material that can only come from true and honest propensity to party. They’ll often throw down sadly forgotten 80’s acid cuts and chuck some old-skool breakbeats on top, just for good measure. Dirt Crew seamlessly weave these elements into their signature sexy, dance floor friendly, beats with an electro-esque pulse that’s sure to keep the heat rising. Maurits Verwoerd is Nachtbraker from the Netherlands. While his rare but celebrated performances receive increasing recognition, signs of exposure to a wide range of genres are clearly hearable in his music, ranging from ecstatic slow grooves to unconventional dub tracks. And we welcome back Eluize: from Berlin Kreuzberg to London, the underground house sets by Eluize tend to seduce you, render you unable to stand still, a sensual club experience in the genre that she declares “music for moonlighting”. Making Monday HOT is our goal.
