Tonight’s House Of Waxx pushes another vigorous edition of the Rawax nights to the forefront, with three outstanding electronic artists on the Globus turntables. From Eritrea, Johannes Debese aka Johnny D became acquainted with a wide array of music styles from an early age and quickly developed into a versatile artist, active in the Mannheim Collective. Johnny D’s style continued to develop under the influence of minimal electronic music, prompting him to try his hand at producing. His musical versatility makes it difficult to define his style, but one can safely locate his music and vinyl selection somewhere between deep-house, minimal, and techno. His productions are now found on top labels such as Cocoon, Moonharbour, Strictly Rhythem, BPitch Control, Mobilee and many more. After Groove magazin nominated Johnny D Best “Newcomer of the Year” and DeBug Magazine “Best Track of the Year” in 2008, he developed a renewed focus on plenty more productions in the pipeline. As well as an ever busier DJ schedule, Johnny D has become an essential member of the global house music scene. Saverio Celestri is a young talented DJ & producer hailing from Italy, living now in Berlin where he cultivates a growing willingness to develop his sound, keeping his productions very fresh and experimental. Quickly making a name for himself in the Berlin club scene, Saverio also produces 4 years of digital releases, and in 2013 (at the age of 20) released his first vinyl taking part of the various artists “symbasim” on “1Trax ” label runned by David elkebas . After this he released also other records with Batti Batti, NothingWithx (dbh music) and Slow Life. Marc Philipp rounds out the program, among whose numerous releases include infectious collaborations with Nils Weimann, Florian Settele (as Jacuzzi Boys) and Sascha Dive.
