Tresor invites Robert Hood
Sat 20 January 2018 - 23:59

Robert Hood makes minimal Detroit techno with an emphasis on soul and experimentation over flash and popularity. Hood was a founding member, along with Jeff Mills and Mike Banks, of the legendary Underground Resistance label, whose influential releases throughout the early and mid ’90s helped change the face of modern Detroit techno and sparked a creative renaissance. Infusing elements of acid and industrial into a potent blend of Chicago house and Detroit techno, UR’s aesthetic project and militant business philosophy were (and remain) singular commitments in underground techno. Joining Robert Hood will be two of our best techno residents Handmade and HGR. On the Globus Floor: Edward McKeithen is Jus-Ed, a DJ, producer and since 2004 Underground Quality label owner. A voyage into the world of DJ Jus-Ed reveals an adventurous, energetic and spiritual style of playing quality house music. Along with his MC skills he brings the club, dance floor, and people into a unforgettable night. In 2001 Jus-Ed teamed up with DJ Vic Money (98.7 Kiss FM ), to create the “Underground Quality” signature under which they began producing parties and help re-grow the underground house community on the East Coast of America. In 2004 Jus-Ed started the now world wide respected Record Label Underground Quality. Since 2004 Jus-Ed has 67 vinyl releases under his belt.  In Dana Ruh’s early years her sound was rooted in techno and landed most often on the label Brouqade Records, which she set together with her friend Ann in 2007 and joined by (Anthea also joined the imprint collective in 2012). Producing a deeper, more smoky house and techno sound, Dana has become one of the family members at Jus Ed’s lauded New Jersey label Underground Quality, where she released her stunning debut album ‘Naturally’. Commanding the decks in top Berlin clubs, Dana lays down seductive tracks from the worlds of house and techno as well as gems in between, as she does when on tour round world, hitting up clubs and festivals everywhere from the UK to the USA, Romania to Russia. Returning artist Jenifa Mayanja has been a DJ for more than 20 years since the early 90s. She also helms three record labels, Bumako Recordings, Sound Warrior & EDJ records. She is sought after DJ and producer for her fearless, genre bending approach to DJing and production.
