Top international talent in Tresor Club tonight. Anthony Child aka Surgeon has been at the forefront of UK techno since 1994. His debut EP is regarded by many as seminal, launching his career along with several early Downwards releases, causing a ripple of excitement through the techno cognoscenti of the time. Surgeon has been prolific since, with three albums on Tresor and numerous Counterbalance and Dynamic Tension EPs as well as his ‘Breaking The Frame’ LP in 2011 Over the course of his career, the Birmingham resident has perfected a unique and uncommonly effective production style. His is a tough techno sound with an industrial murk about it but also plenty of funk, swing and a sophisticated sense of dub-space learned in part from his Chain Reaction contemporaries in Berlin. Contemporary Surgeon sets are notable for experimentation with new DJ technologies embracing cutting edge hardware and software solutions, increasingly blurring the line between a DJ set and a live performance. Peter Kuschnereit aka DJ Pete aka Substance is a frequent guest in our home, one half of the legendary Scion together with Vainqueur, the Berliner duo who gifted the new millennium with the Tresor Records release “Arrange And Process Basic Channel Tracks” one of the most celebrated techno mix CDs of the label’s history. Tonight Surgeon and DJ Pete deliver it to othe decks BACK TO BACK! Yuka is classically trained yet also has merged in many multimedia formats like her contemporary Dasha Rush, (on whose label Yuka is associated) and her tendency towards the ornate and magical is a marked facet of her work. The distinct sound of Yuka‘s podcasts, with styles reaching minimal-techno, deep-minimal, tech-house, micro-house, down-tempo, and – last of all – dreamy ambient, tell of an exciting and inspired techno talent. with solid support from longtime Globus resident Sebastian Kasper aka DJ Senze, this is a killer Tresor Floor line-up. In the +4Bar, world famous Russian DJ Dasha Rush, known for her brilliant Fullpanda label and All You Need Is Ears club nights in our home over the years, will deliver an astounding ambient set tonight. Ms. Rush likes to push boundaries: in her strange and twisted world the machines are the protagonists of a neo-romanticism, weaved with human dreams. With her is Wanderwelle, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, who have a delightful longplayer “Lost In A Sea Of Trees” released this year on Silent Season. Berlin’s Unrush, an experiment in sound, a crystalline vision of eternal pause. Through their podcasts, interviews, and event series they focus on presenting a diverse array of alluring ambient music – a big welcome to our home. Artist Linards Kulless is a latvian interdisciplinary visual artist. He works in different media like video, photo and installation. The artistic playground of Linards includes theatre performances, paintings, outfit and interior concepts. Linards also works as a VJ since 2001.
