Tresor welcomes back French techno maverick DJ Deep to the basement decks. DJ Deep is a techno and house producer and DJ. He runs the Deeply Rooted label, formerly Deeply Rooted House. Twenty years in, from house to techno and everything in between, DJ Deep has immersed himself in the ebb and flows of music, be it NY, Chicago, Detroit or today’s current pulsating waves. His straight-up techno live project Adventice with Roman Poncet as Sergie Rezza, saw a trio of releases on our label, followed by critically acclaimed performances. Unabatedly, DJ Deep’s solo adventure also continues with his own deep “cuts” out on his label or under his Rébeval raw house alias, on the cult NYC L.I.E.S Records. Joining the line-up is Claudia Anderson who debuted in Tresor only a few years ago, and who has two stellar releases on Marcelus’ Singular Records. She also contributed the track Phase to this year’s Tresor ambient compilation “Dreamy Harbor” (Tresor.291). Talented Tresor resident Mareena compliments this outstanding Tresor Floor program. On the Globus Floor: Scotland-born Stephen Brown’s inspiration lies firmly in Detroit techno, his releases and live performances are proof of this. He chooses to give his music to labels that he respects, rather than make a certain style of music for a particular type of label. Starting off and moving through distinguished labels Djax, Soma, T&B, Drought, Scandinavia (to name a few), and he started his own label in 2000 called Realtime Records. Stephen Brown counts among his collaborators Derrick May and DJ Bone, and we are pleased to present his live performance tonight. Mike Dehnert is a Berlin producer, live act/DJ and frequent guest in Tresor Club for many years, where his fan base has consistently grown. Since 2007 he has managed his own label Fachwerk Records, distinguishing himself as a cutting-edge live performer of urban electronica straight outta Berlin but radiating to the world. Returning guest artist Kenneth Christiansen has been DJing all over Europe the last decade, playing in top clubs in most capitals. Apart from running the labels Echocord and Echocord Colour, and the Pattern Repeat project with Resoe, he is also booker/co-owner/manager of the club Culture Box in Copenhagen. Japan’s Shingo Suwa returns as well tonight, the artist began his career as a producer/DJ in 2004 and decided to move to Berlin in late 2005. In early 2008 he founded his own label Merkur Schallplatten, with seven EPs that have received wide underground recognition. Shingo Suwa’s fresh groovy vibes have kept him very busy in the scene, and you can groove to his set tonight.
