Tonight we welcome back Zadig: highly influenced by Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Surgeon or the labels Synewave, Lost or Tresor, the Parisian began by working at Matos DJ Store, the famous Bastille music store in the French capital which released his first album Dark Nebula in 2010. Zadig then started Construct Re-Form, a label on a human scale which was initially created to release his own productions – significant success had given him a solid basis to develop his own label. Construct Re-Form almost immediately welcomes 3 talented DJs known as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Zadig then becomes an astute label manager who provides technical advice and, perhaps most importantly, human support to his three protégés. Always the innovator and a maverick behind the decks, you need to catch his set. Carlos Souffront is a music gourmet, a true DJ’s DJ. His taste is rich and vast and he has the unique ability to create deeply rhythmic narratives that offer unexpected and exotic spices. Equally entrenched in indie rock, post punk, experimental music, ambient, rock, house, and techno, Carlos was always a man of many worlds – with an ability to traverse through them with an unique imagination. Carlos is an important component of the Interdimensional Transmissions parties, bringing a loose yet tight moody deepness and an ever unexpected edge. He has participated in the studio with Ectomorph, and also performed alongside some of their live performances. Johannes Volk is a producer, DJ and also label owner of Exploration Records, and whose sets combine an open minded, raw and hypnotic techno sound. His first record was released on none other than Jeff Mills’s Axis Records in 2006, followed by a series of vinyl releases on other labels including Patrice Scott’s Sistrum and Steffi’s Dolly imprint. As a DJ, Johannes’s depth of knowledge and ear for a groove is rivaled by few. Our talented Tresor resident Marcel Heese compliments this basement program. Returning to the Globus Floor, Brooklyn-based artist Maya Bouldry-Morrison aka Octo Octa has been releasing mainly house music since 2011 when her debut EP Let Me See You lasso’d a mighty wave of international house-heads to the dance-floor and helped push underground house label 100% Silk onto everyone’s radar. Octo Octa’s finely-tuned marriage of exquisite compositional flare, meticulously-sculpted sonics, and primal dance-floor functionality has earned her a a Red Bull Music Academy residency in Manhattan, which found the producer working closely with Harald Bjork and Throwing Snow, as well as tours across the world that included coveted gigs in top European venues. Moomin is a Berlin-based artist whose 2011 debut “The Story About You” found international positive critique for his “modern house music magic”. With gigs all over the globe and releases on various distinguished labels, he also inked a passion project vinyl and tape label, Closer, which matched a perfect name to the tactile and intimate nature of his productions. Tristen has made a name for himself as DJ, producer, as well as label manager and A&R for his own imprint Aim Vinyl. After having released on numerous distinguished labels, he fully committed to his vision of beautifully crafted house music and founded Aim Vinyl in 2010. It is the same keen eye for the detail that can be found in Tristen’s DJ sets and has gathered him a loyal following far beyond the Berlin club mile.
