Tresor 24 years birthday celebration month presents: Octave One (featuring Random Noise Generation) is the brainchild of Detroit’s Burden Brothers. The core unit of the band is made up of Lenny and Lawrence Burden with revolving members of Lynell, Lorne, and Lance Burden. First appearing on the compilation “Techno 2: The Next Generation” (alongside Carl Craig, Marc Kinchen, and Jay Denham), they followed in 1990 with the track “I Believe” and have since released over one hundred records, many on their own record label, 430 West Records. Octave One are best known for the single “Blackwater” featuring the vocals of Ann Saunderson, which was licenced to over thirty compilations. It wasn’t until 2006, after years of explosive live appearances all over the world, that they released their first full length DVD/CD project “Off The Grid” on Tresor Records. If you haven’t experienced their high-energy live set of champions, now is your chance! New Yorker Lenny Posso also returns to the Globus decks. Playing all over NYC, various other US cities and several countries abroad, he lives, breathes techno and house music. Lenny is owner and founder of Thema Recordings, Chronicle Records and Thema Digital, a DJ and artist who strives to test and challenge the conventional representation of today’s techno, house, and electronica to its furthest boundaries. Since moving from her homeland of France to Berlin in 2005, Bloody Mary has made quite a name for herself, or rather, for her dancefloor seductress alter ego. As a world-class DJ, she has traveled internationally, launched her own label Dame-Music, and started a new project “The Jaydes”, a Berlin-based project comprising of two friends and studio partners – Bloody Mary & Attan. As excellent support you can count on the hands-on wizardry mixery of our house resident Handmade. In the basement Tresor area: when it comes down to combining the best of many musical worlds, Peter Van Hoesen can say he’s been doing it for a while now. Deeply rooted in the Brussels electronic music scene as DJ and producer since 1993, he’s considered by many as a man with multiple musical talents: from straight-up dancefloor jackin’ techno to advanced abstract electronica, and the unforgettable hardware approach to his unique and dramatic live sets. His tracks and remixes have been released on his own labels Time To Express and Foton, as well as many others, not to mention his successful “Life Performance“ on our label (Tresor.265). Spanish Pole Group artist Reeko has released numerous superb tracks on other labels like Mental Disorder and Evidence, has remixed for Oscar Mulero and Exium, and he is exactly the Iberian techno wizard needed to get the dancefloor sweat into the long night’s pulse. P.E.A.R.L.‘s sets are characterized by broken rhythms and deep sounds, showing industrial influences. A former member of the group “Agony Forces”, that performed at the most important clubs and festivals in Spain, his restless and innovative nature often leads him to look for the sounds far beyond the dance club, bringing him closer to the other fields of electronic and experimental music. Mischa is a product of shifting technologized urban landscapes. Musically educated by computerized man machines, aquatic bata particles, and the rhythmic (re)formations of the hardcore continuum, he tirelessly searches for uncompromising dance music. On the journey, Mischa has developed a very distinct hybrid between techno, house, grime/dubstep, and drum and bass.
