Good Friday brings good tidings in the form of a dynamite program for maximum holiday clubbing. Normally associated with his peers in techno from Detroit, Europe and elsewhere, maverick artist John Tejada has embraced electronic music as a personal frontier, expanding on his resume as a techno recording artist, producer, remixer, DJ, and label owner. Known for crafting a brand of subtle, musical techno, John Tejada‘s recorded output ranges across tempo and genre lines, from chilled out affairs with spacious arrangements to pulsating, densely layered, deeply energetic tracks that work magnificently in the hands of DJs as well as on the home stereo. Tonight the internationally renowned DJ will head the Globus decks with a special live set to kick in the Easter weekend. Also on the Globus program: Evan Baggs is born and bred New Yorker now Berlin-based, and has gained a reputation through his sheer passion, clever track selections and precise mixing. International DJ’s and producers have recognized him as a legitimate up-and-coming talent and we welcome him in our home tonight. Hello?Repeat artist Jan Krüger also returns to the decks tonight, as well as Tom Lally: originally from Australia and based in Berlin the last 10 years, Tom Lally has been DJing and organising events in the German capital after having cemented his quality reputation in the Melbourne scene. On the Tresor Floor we welcome back Jonas Kopp: in the last few years the Argentinian has gained and produced a first-rate reputation. His discography is spread out not only on top labels like Deeply Rooted House, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Spectral Sound, CLR, Ilian Tape and Pfirter’s MindTrip – where he made his debut – and stylistically he allows himself multiple diversions as a techno producer. This palette reaches from driving techno to warm Chicago-ish tune to ambient tracks that found themselves this year on the Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape label. His connection to Tresor, where he has regularly played over the last few years, was cemented with the release of his first full-length album on Tresor Records: “Beyond The Hypnosis” in 2014. French Deeply Rooted artist Roman Poncet lent his talents to the Tresor label together with DJ Deep in the project Adventice, releasing both “Extraction” and “Hydraulic Pressure” EPs this year. Dutch artist Stefan Vincent has rather anonymous while producing music, but the urge to translate his music to a live audience has followed. Stefan’s live-act, consisting of only his own material, is a sneak peek into his studio. A highly danceable one that is, with ample room deliberately left open for live, on the spot re-interpretation. Our burning techno resident Mareena provides the best support for this Easter special night.
