We welcome back in our home and the Globus decks Aux88, Detroit’s electro and bass-heavy techno pioneers Tom Tom and K-1, Tommy Hamilton & Keith Tucker.  To many, the name Aux88 has long been synonymous with the term Techno Bass. Having been influenced by the early days of Detroit Techno, as well as the glory days of the Electro Funk and Miami Bass era, the duo had the vision to create something that could actually become a style of Electro, helping not just to revive it, but also to give it a direction which the sound could take and evolve from what it once was…and that’s exactly what happened. Techno Bass/Aux88 from the legendary Direct Beat Record Label created a sound that would soon take over the Detroit dance scene, eventually moving on to revolutionize Europe and beyond. Niels Luinenburg aka Delta Funktionen‘s tracks on Field 02 and 04 are delicious techno works of intricate, moody forces. Also a resident at Amsterdam’s LET – les enfants terribles – Delta Funktionen is content to go about his business quietly, and the Dutchman now spins a genre-defiant blend of Detroit techno, Chicago-licked house, crafty old school electro and sparkling Italo disco at clubs around the globe. Dutch Electro and Techno label Klaxon’s co-chief Remy Verheijen aka Dexter returns to the Globus decks after delivering a memorable quality set at last year’s Atonal club party. Dexter is something of a scholar of electronic music history, whether that be pioneering 70s soul artists, his beloved Kraftwerk or the evolution of synth technology itself. We also welcome back frequent guest DJ Sarah Miles, co-founder & chief, DJ & live host at Berlin Community Radio, who plays in numerous Berlin underground locations and whose sets surprise and delight with their spectrum of sophistication in dance club mixing. Downstairs in Tresor: Returning artist from Stockholm Acronym is a strength-gaining member of Abdulla Rashim’s Northern Electronics bandcamp. With the intensity of his relentless, cutting-edge sounds, so brilliantly explored in his Dimensional Exploration series, to the stripped bare and excellent demo track 02 on our label – a step further is Acronym‘s live set that simply mesmerizes. Sandrian is from the Netherlands, a resident at Amsterdam’s Trouw and brings some of her talent to the Tresor decks, a mix of her always qualitative, rich and cosmic ethereal techno. Talented French DJ and Tresor Records artist Marcelus also returns to spark his magic on the dancefloor, as well as talented Berlin DJ Chris Braun.
