There is not a major electronic club, event or festival in the world that has not hosted the renowned Swedish artist Cari Lekebusch. A key ambassador in exporting the techno beats that proliferated from his homeland, a term which was then aptly coined by many as ‘Swedish Techno’. The impressive repertoire on his own H-Productions label has become a mainstay of the genre, permeating into the crates of the global electronic music community. Markus Suckut dislikes categories but own productions are best described plainly and simply with the word techno, techno which often and willingly becomes dub. His sets are wide reaching, and even if they have a common basis it’s difficult to describe what exactly they have in common. To play in his own style, leading the crowd and casting a spell over it, delighting listeners with records selections that go beyond the remit of any kind of DJ charts, this is Markus Suckut’s world. Our fierce Tresor resident HGR gives it up with a solid support set. In Globus: Frequent guest and now Berlin-based Derek Plaslaiko quietly paid his dues on Detroit’s rave circuit from his nearby hometown, and quickly earned a reputation for forward thinking DJ sets that were clinical, sophisticated and extremely sensual. This combination resulted in a residency for Family, the weekly party at Detroit’s legendary Motor. Some will know Derek Plaslaiko as a favorite of the mid-90s Detroit warehouse scene, which lead to a personal invite from Carl Craig to appear at the inaugural Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000. His near decade-long residency at New York’s Bunker parties garnered him “Best Techno Party DJ” by the Village Voice in 2006. Since moving from her homeland of France to Berlin in 2005, DJ, producer, label owner and live act, Bloody Mary has made quite a name for herself, or rather, for her dancefloor seductress alter ego. As a world-class DJ, she has traveled internationally, launched her own label Dame-Music, and started a new project “The Jaydes”, a Berlin-based project comprising of two friends and studio partners – Bloody Mary & Attan, who use analog studio machines crafting their productions. Owner of one of the premier underground music IP’s Regenerate, Bhishma Sagar aka Bhish spent a lot of his time in the office studio learning the art of DJing and mixing. He’s been right in the heart of the underground and knows exactly what’s the best in new sound to feed to the insatiably hungry Indian scene. From setting trends with Bhish’s absolutely flawless mixes to booking the best names in the industry. The aim behind getting on the decks was to spread more good music amongst the bustling music scene in the city and to share with everyone what Regenerate truly stands for.
