Every time Blake Baxter returns to the Tresor decks, the unmistakable singe of his trademark funky techno echoes onto the floor, as it has since the beginnings of his Tresor Club and Records legacy. An innovator of the genre in the fullest sense of the term, his core releases decades ago resound in today’s international multi-leveled and wide spectrum of club electronica. No small feat for this legend and yet Blake Baxter continues to thrill clubbers, humbly delivering his talent year after year. We welcome back Jovonn, a New York artist who is dedicated to bringing back the deep, soulful sounds of the underground, as demonstrated by his latest record label ventures, Next Moov Records and Next Moov Traxx. One excellent track after another found him with a solid fanbase eager for more of some of the best basslines in house music. Homopatik resident and Power Park co-manager Kris creates a deliciously mixture of electronica from the stranger regions of sonic expanse; Italian-born Francesco de Luca received early inspiration from heroes Masters At Work, Larry Heard and Ron Trent, moved to Berlin and quickly assimilated the German techno influence into his own understanding of DJing and production, crafting a versatile sound that reveals a sophistication akin to DJs more than twice his age – an artist to watch. On the Tresor Floor, Peter Kuschnereit aka DJ Pete aka Substance is not only an eye wittness to Techno’s zero hour in Berlin, but he also became one of the early forces shaping the German capital’s underground dance scene for the years to come. He quickly went from being a consumer to actually write Berlin’s Techno history as a producer, remixer and an international DJ, as well as part of the Hardwax record store crew. A fine example of both his variety and open-mindedness is the fact that he – as a DJ still preferring the sonic and haptic qualities of vinyl – released „Scion Arrange And Process Basic Channel Tracks“ as part of the duo Scion, which was the first commercially available CD ever to have been produced with Ableton‘s comple- tely new software „Live“. Rob Kirkaldy is Roberto, a London-based techno DJ, producer and remixer. He is considered to be one of the most exciting new British Techno artists in recent years. Combining influences from Detroit and underground Dutch techno, he has created his own sound unique to the UK. With the addition of frequent guest Sven von Thülen, a Berlin DJ and producer who is one half of Zander VT with Fritz Zander, this Friday basement thunder is adequately provided for and please now commence to dance until….
