The Tresor Floor kicks off with Joseph Manumaleuna aka DJ Hyperactive: leaping up out of Chicago right at the peak of his career on a straight shot to SoCal, he took on the daunting challenge of opening a record store, managing 4 Track Records, and a nearly a ten year hiatus ensued. Now awakened and returning to a transformed scene,  DJ Hyperactive is back as a DJ, producer, teacher, and self-described “brother of the humble.” Hardly a venue or festival on the globe has gone without his artistry, and  DJ Hyperactive returned to Chicago 2013 to reconnect with his family and musical roots. His story continues with more gigs and more studio productions, with the difference being the experience and perspective that only a true veteran can possess. Techno DJ and producer Dustin Zahn is based in Minneapolis, US. He is co-founder of Abiotic Recordings and Enemy Records and internationally known for his trademark powerful and dark techno sound since his 1998 beginnings. Earning respect among techno and house legends, purists, and contemporary DJs, Dustin Zahn has a preference for marathon sets: with his laid-back approach to life and music, he seamlessly traverses through various genres which creates a unique, hypnotic vibe that isn’t found among most DJs. And with a powerful backup set from our techno resident Mario Berger, this will be a basement night to remember. In Globus, multitalent Tobi Neumann lives in Berlin. He’d already made himself a name as producer of commercial jingles and movie soundtracks when he got infected with electronic music at the ’95 Love Parade. Soon he’d become resident DJ at Munich’s Ultraschall II where he hosted the legendary Flokati House Club since 1998. Tobi Neumann is now in the artist roster of Sven Väth’s DJ-booking agency Cocoon. His productions for Chicks On Speed, 2Raumwohnung, Miss Kittin a.o. made Tobi Neumann one of the driving forces in the German house and electro scene. Hailing from Andria in the south of Italy, a healthy passion for music has long coaxed Guiliano Lomonte out of his gorgeous Mediterranean climate. As a clubber around Europe, he nurtured the love of dance music—particularly deep, tech, hypnotic, extended cuts pressed to vinyl. It’s the sound he mines as a DJ, and you can regularly hear him teasing out the groove at the coolest Berlin underground venues. Deeply in love with vinyl and strongly affected by trippy – groovy tunes, Giuliano is absolutely passionate in playing long lasting sets. Now, via Sammy Dee’s Ultrastretch and the release on Pressure Traxx, you can hear Lomonte’s musical vision in its purest form. For the last 12 years, Berlin-born Janina developed an impressive sharp ear, technical skills, an asserted signature, despite continuously evolving music tastes. Playing regularly in the best clubs in Berlin and in European capitals, Janina is now playing twice a month as a resident of Monasterio Club in Moscow.
