Edward McKeithen is Jus-Ed, a DJ, producer and since 2004 Underground Quality label owner. A voyage into the world of DJ Jus-Ed reveals an adventurous, energetic and spiritual style of playing quality house music. Along with his MC skills he brings the club, dance floor, and people into a unforgettable night. In 2001 Jus-Ed teamed up with DJ Vic Money (98.7 Kiss FM ), to create the “Underground Quality” signature under which they began producing parties and help re-grow the underground house community on the East Coast of America. In 2004 Jus-Ed started the now world wide respected Record Label Underground Quality. And after his amazing all-night set last March, tonight you have this major turntablist talent the whole night again behind the Globus decks, this time with invited guest artist Henry Maldonado aka Son Of Sound: As part of the House 2 House trio on Strictly Rhythm, Maldonado and crew fired out a relentless assault of New York style sampled and deep house tracks coveted by New York mainstays Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Tony Humphries, Roger Sanchez, Timmy Regisford and many others. In the mid 1990s his solo Rhythm Section projects found homes on Masters At Work records, Henry Street, King Street, and his recent Native Underground project with singer Javi (Javi Silva) masterfully combines early ’80s R&B, soul, hip-hop, electro-funk and house. District 30 is Henry’s latest label and features a catalog of Son Of Sound releases, including the self-titled Son Of Sound full length, with tracks coveted by DJ-Jus-Ed, Ashley Beedle, Danny Tenaglia and many others. Today Henry produces and DJs exclusively under Son Of Sound and continues to push the limits of the underground by taking his knowledge of the culture of days past, and combining it with a deep love for his native New York City. A true Globus happening! In Tresor: returning again after his fantastic set in our home 10 months ago, Manni Dee’s techno smells something like burning rubber. Since 2013’s ‘Pareidolia’ EP, the London-based producer and DJ has been turning out breakneck warehouse fillers with an ear for the unsettled. He has become a repeat offender on Ali Wells fronted Perc Trax, culminating in the anarchic ‘Throbs Of Discontent’ EP, and his “Human Image” EP was the debut release for Holland’s Leyla Records. Tonight Manni Dee celebrates his May 25th full-length album release on our label, Tresor.304 “The Residue”. As a DJ, Manni Dee has performed at some of the world’s premier techno haunts, including bass-dungeon House of God and top Berlin venues. After releasing records on L.I.E.S. and it’s offspring Russian Torrent Versions, Caserta native Domenico Crisci quickly rose to prominence among purveyors of timeless Techno. A third record on Eerie cemented his reputation as a careful engineer of effective, crafty dance floor cuts that comfortably sit next to early works of the genre’s pioneers. Domenico gathered experience as a DJ for many years, spinning a mix of Acid and Techno with a puristic approach. As one of the hinges of the 90’s rave generation, Italian DJ and Sonic Groove artist Max Durante’s sound and his presence have been fundamental for the early Italian Techno scene. Well respected as a DJ, thanks to his great mixing abilities, as well as a producer for his precious creativity in his recording productions, Max Durante is a true innovator of dark, industrial techno. Italian artist Alessandro Gaja debuted in 2013 on Repitch, and records also on his own Ophism Record label, focused on releasing rusty, live recorded analogue jams of underground acid techno, electro and lo fi synthesizer music. Gaja’s releases on Ophism include “Nanook”, “Money Create Taste” and “Slaves Of The Future”.
