Sherard Ingram aka DJ Stingray has been an active member in Detroit’s electronic music community for nearly 25 years now, stretching back all the way to his first release as NASA on cult Detroit imprint Express Records alongside Scan 7‘s Trackmaster Lou. Never shy of a collaboration, Ingram spent much of the ’90s teaming up with Carl Craig, Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir and Kenny Dixon Jr. to create a rich downtempo sound as Urban Tribe on James Lavelle’s Mo Wax label, with culminated in the release of 1998’s much-lauded The Collapse of Modern Culture album. He was then recruited to be the tour DJ for Drexciya in their final days, taking to the decks as DJ Stingray and masking his face from the audience, something he continues to do for all of his DJ appearances. In 2017 DJ Stingray presented his 27-track VA release on our label, Kern Vol. 4. Voiski is an artist on, among other labels, Zadig’s Construct Re-Form. Within the large spectrum of his interventions, Voiski stands out for rigor of his infinitely repetitive loops. These, combined with acerbic drum beats, construct an analog excitation that carries his music to the heart of futurist and sentimental layerings. From his proximity to the intriguing electrodance duo Kartei to the experimental label Silicate Musique which he codirects, the amplitude of Voiski’s activity bears witness to the authenticity of his engagement, one which reconciles the demands of dance floor techno with the construction of an introspective vision. Anna Haleta needs no introduction in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. She is running successfully her own event (Pacotek*) for 14 years which was the 1st promoter to bring in many great DJs for the 1st time to Israel. Anna is a real pioneer in the scene there and has also garnered fans in venues across Europe as well. Known for her exceptional records selection and intuitive balancing on the line between genres, Anna Haleta turns her sets into trippy sophisticated illusion. That’s her signature style. Her main tool is magic and that’s how she has witched the local scene into her religion, where house, techno and electro are the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. SPFDJ is a recent addition to the Berlin club scene, having started her career in London with Universe of Tang; a residents-only, multi-sensory warehouse party experimenting with the setting to build an atmosphere. SPFDJ has also appeared on lineups and radio shows for SIREN, Gateway to Zen, Werk & Make Me with a kind of techno that is fast, hard-hitting and with elements of acid, electro, hardcore & trance. in Globus: The electronic music producer known as DJ Richard has spent the last five years in the world’s club capitals, Berlin and New York City, but his heart still remains in his native Rhode Island. Along with his cohort Young Male, DJ Richard is one of the more prominent dance-music artists to emerge from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, and in 2012, they founded the “outsider house” record label White Material. Natan H saw his debut release on Anton Zap’s Ethereal Sound in early 2012, showcasing his deep and inimitable style. Since then Natan H has released over twenty records alongside artists and labels including Joey Anderson, Benjamin Brunn, DJ Spider, Chicago Skyway, Finale Sessions, Appian Sounds, Taped Artifact, and Altered Moods Recordings, in addition to two EPs on George Fitzgerald’s ManMakeMusic. Together with Owen Jay, Natan H produces as Gauss, operating the vinyl imprint under the same name. Emerging from Leipzig’s flourishing clubscene, Lux. became part of the Crew I/O where she was first given the chance to hone her craft as a DJ. Collecting many experiences at Conne Island besides, she developed a remarkable sense of diverse selections, while having a strong intuition to plunge the dancefloor into a subtle mode of listening. With a sound that is clearly inspired by Detroit- and UK-themes, Lux. narratively intertwines House, Ambient, Electro, Break Beat and Techno with greatest ease. Her mixes naturally ebb and flow from intricate to playful, from trippy to downbeat, dubby to uplifting and the atmosphere she creates in this process is nothing short than unique.
