Oliver Chesler aka The Horrorist is one of the best known and loved electronic musicians. Recording since 1989 he and has released over 80 12″ singles and 3 full length albums. In 2001 he had a Number 1 hit on the German Dance Charts with the song “One Night in NYC” and in 2004 his album “Manic Panic” went to Number 1 on the German Alternative Chart. The scope of his music catalog is huge and he has recorded for every major label and all the best known techno labels including our own label Tresor. His vita is so long and detailed it would be best to simply experience this chameleon artist yourself. The Horrorist is a sensational live act who plays a mixture of industrial attitude and punk style with synth-techno music all over the world. Playing a set that goes from minimal or new wave all the way to hardcore and everything in between, there is something for everyone. But the biggest thing about The Horrorist‘s sets is the interactivity that comes with having a live performer that a crowd is capable of understanding. Mick Wills starts his DJ career in 1986 at the age of 14, in his hometown in the south of germany, where he discovered techno, acid, and new beat in the late 80’s. Being invited by DJ Hell to play Munich’s Ultraschall was a turning point. in 1996 Wills collaborates with Klangstabil’s Maurizio Blanco in the studio and he knows from that moment that he wants to produce records as well as play them. Eventually signing to Hell’s Gigolo Records, there is no stopping him: effortlessly switching between the cutting edge of today’s sounds and vintage Chicago, Detroit, italo, hi nrg, wave, acid and electro, Wills is a true music freak, an avid record collector and really does play like every night is his last. Years of Denial is the alter-face of French musician/DJ/producer Jerome Tcherneyan and Czech performance artist/DJ Barkosina Hanusova. With the use of hardware combined with vocals and a plethora of dub devices, YOD are re-visiting the dark corner of Post Punk, Industrial music movement and rave culture. Their live Electro performances fuse SP 1200 beats and pulsating arpeggios with heavy electronics and engaging vocals. Barkosina’s voice ricochets against percussive snares as she intones ghetto poetry and dark romanticism. The duet operate on the dance floor without anesthetic creating an excursive electrifying shady atmosphere. Ireen Amnes, rising techno creative artist, is the founder of underground artist collective Under My Feet, seen in line-ups with artists such as Kobosil,Vatican Shadown and SNTS. The London-based artist is schooled in techno, experimental, industrial, as she expressed in her Tresor new faces set last May – we welcome her talent back to our decks. On the Globus Floor: Jensen Interceptor has provided his versatile brand of techno to clubs and warehouses around the world. Gaining respect from his peers and international artists, Jensen has consistently kept up with the elite at top speed. With his selection ranging from Detroit Electro & Miami Bass to rolling Italo, thunderous 90’s Breaks and driving EBM, Jensen‘s audience’s are promised a sonic journey like no other. Now playing beside the best in the league, in the most famous international venues, bringing a unique and powerful performance to every dance floor, welcome Jensen Interceptor: engage clutch, shift into top gear. Lukas Pettersson is Luke Eargoggle, a Swedish electro producer based in Gothenburg who is founder of Stilleben Records but has also released records on the Dutch label Bunker Records. With Legowelt he forms the duo Catnip, with Orgue Electronique the group Hertogenbosch. LNS, originally from Calgary, has for years been an integral part of Vancouver’s underground, creating and playing on-point and under-the-radar events. Her DJing reflects the pioneering years of Detroit and UK Techno. This style is mirrored in her production – the first 12inch, “Heliacal Rising” (Freakout Cult, 2016), with its cross-over electro and IDM, and on 4 records in collaboration with DJ Sotofett on his Wania label, including 2017’s balearic & deep techno 12inch-trilogy, and the sun-rise ambient “Soft Peak Mix” 10inch. LNS’ newest outputs manifests as a remix for NYC’s DFA, and last but not least, the recent self-released six-track “Recons One EP,” with short edged electro, leftfield & chillwave. Primarily associated with Berlin’s LACKRec label, having released multiple solo and collaborative EPs through the Berlin techno powerhouse, the music of Gian has a transcendent touch that lifts it above the factory line of techno and electro produced out of the city. Releasing only occasionally, but to maximal effect, Gian’s trilogy of EPs thus far are the sound of a patient, sophisticated producer whose nonetheless not afraid to make a serious impact on dancefloors. With Massimiliano Pagliara as Gian & Massi, they produced tracks reexamining and contextualising strains of italo, house and hi-NRG for a contemporary dancefloor. Following a hugely well-received debut at ADE, as well as embarking on a LACKRec tour of some of Germany’s finest clubs Gian continues to evolve his style amongst tight, like-minded communities of forward-thinking artists.
