An iconic artist of the dance music genre, Rolando Ray Rocha aka DJ Rolando grew up in south west Detroit, a Hispanic district, he was heavily influenced by his cultural Latin rhythms and percussion. His early exposure to the techno pioneers of the city found him a member of UR in 1994 and his 1999 produced classic “Jaguar” had the industry taken aback. Rolando eventually left both Underground Resistance and his Los Hermanos project behind, and in 2014 Rolando launched his own label R3 ( Roland Rocha Records) to exclusively release his own music on his label. Having played in the most famous venues and festivals the world over, we are pleased to welcome DJ Rolando to the Tresor decks tonight – don’t miss it! Dutch artist Reynier Hooft van Huijsduijnen is Deniro, producer, DJ and co-founder of Tape Records in Amsterdam. His terrific set in the basement last October is not easily forgotten. He is represented by Voyage Direct, a record label established to represent the wealth of electronic music talent coming out of the Netherlands, and also is associated with Berlin label Trip. And we also present a set by our skilled resident Mareena: her influences range far and wide, including anything from Detroit and Chicago acid to the more hypnotic take on dub, ambient, and techno. Throughout the years Mareena has performed extensively both locally and internationally, accomplishing the rare feat of earning a reputation solely as a DJ and curator. In Globus: Jus-Ed is now in his third year as Globus Floor resident and his invited guests are always a feast for the dancefloor. A DJ, producer and since 2004 Underground Quality label owner, the voyage into the world of DJ Jus-Ed reveals an adventurous, energetic and spiritual style of playing quality house music. Along with his MC skills he brings the club, dance floor, and people into a unforgettable night. In 2001 Jus-Ed teamed up with DJ Vic Money (98.7 Kiss FM ), to create the “Underground Quality” signature under which they began producing parties and help re-grow the underground house community on the East Coast of America. In 2004 Jus-Ed started the now worldwide respected Record Label Underground Quality. His guest tonight for another all-nighter: frequent Tresor Club guest Patrice Scott, one of Detroit’s top producers of deep house and techno music and a respected dance music artist. Substance, quality, and diversity are the driving forces behind this artist who has touched the world by storm in the early stages of his career. Patrice Scott has a fascination and desire to be anything but the norm. Over the years he has focused more and more on his studio production skills and his label Sistrum, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2016.
