In Globus: DeepChord was originally a partnership of Rod Modell and Mike Schommer, but later became a solo project of Rod Modell. The sounds at work are predominantly those associated with dub-techno: dubby beats, crisp static, synthetic analogue grooves, and deep chords – think Basic Channel. Now he has released a dub techno album, 312 on our label: Captagon will come out under the Detroit artist’s birth name, one of several aliases he’s used over the years. Spanning nine club-ready tracks, it marks a significant change of direction for Modell, whose releases since reviving the alias after a nine-year hiatus skewed towards drone and ambient. The new album was released June 14th digitally and on vinyl. Highly influenced by Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Surgeon or the labels Synewave, Lost or Tresor, the Paris artist Zadig began by working at Matos DJ Store, the famous Bastille music store in the French capital which released his first album Dark Nebula in 2010. Zadig then started Construct Re-Form, a label on a human scale which was initially created to release his own productions – significant success had given him a solid basis to develop his own label. Construct Re-Form almost immediately welcomes 3 talented DJs known as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Zadig then becomes an astute label manager who provides technical advice and, perhaps most importantly, human support to his three protégés. Always the innovator and a maverick behind the decks, it’s a terrific experience. Tresor Club resident Magda El Bayoumi is an artist of Polish and Egyptian origin living in Berlin, Germany. She tends to oscillate between different sub-genres of house and techno: whether she is opening the night, playing in prime time or closing the party, she adjusts easily providing best possible performance and record selection to fit the night. Good classic or fresh and new sound techno and house or versatile electronic productions play an important role in Magda’s choice of music today. There is only one rule: quality. On the Tresor Floor: frequent guest Tadeo is an established DJ and producer, label manager of Cyclical Tracks, NET28 founder, and member of the most interesting label family from Spain: CMYKmusik, Apnea and Mupa. Whether commanding the decks or performing live, Tadeo continues constructing imaginative and impossible sets, going from minimal to techno – and viceversa – with superb skills. DJ, producer and curator of Hidden Recordings, Deepak Sharma has been entrenched in techno for over a decade. Tough, raw and gritty describe the man, his music and label. While DJing is his calling, his label can also be described as going strong with demand growing through each carefully curated offering, slowly and steadily building a catalog greater than most: the rare feat of longevity, forty-one releases and counting. Now, Deepak Sharma is fully engaged as a soloist, bursting at the seams with an active imagination, over-flowing with ideas and constantly learning, leading to an ambitious release schedule in the future. Spanish artist Manuel Cano is Unkle Fon, one of the new additions to the Madrid techno scene: true to its raw and dark sound, always creating new sounds but clearly influenced by the old school. He has been researching to produce their own music with a genuine and very characteristic sound. 2016 is the year where Unkle Fon embarked on his label Node Orbit  and Utopia Club Madrid may be one of his most ambitious projects. A club created in an industrial area of Madrid, where you can enjoy techno with one of the best sound systems of the city. Sizzling support is provided by one of our top residents HGR, known for his versatile sets and agility to move between moods.
