Dadub, a project founded in Italy in 2008 by Daniele Antezza, is dedicated to combine sound design and audio synthesis experimentation with the aesthetic and musical heritage of Bass Music and Dub. Following a first period of activity in the copyleft/creative commons community with the label A Quiet Bump, in 2009 Daniele moved to Berlin where he began a collaboration with Giovanni Conti. They founded Artefacts Mastering Studio and, under the aegis of Dadub, collaborated with the groundbreaking label Stroboscopic Artefacts, profoundly influencing the label aesthetics and musical output. In 2017 Daniele left Artefacts Mastering and founded his own production and mastering studio, the brand new Dadub Studio. Moreover, staying true to the collaborative nature which has always characterised the project, Dadub is being re-launched as a collaborative venture between Daniele and Marco Donnarumma, renown Berlin-based sound artist, performer and producer. Mike Jefford is Positive Centre, currently located in Lisbon after a long period of living and producing music in Berlin. Positive Centre combines analog machines with tape and effects processing to create hypnotic and textural techno music, with releases on Our Circula Sound, Stroboscopic Artefacts, SNTS, Pole Group and Leyla. In 2017, Positive Centre established the In Silent Series label to promote and cultivate releases that develop the potential of textural sounds that reflect sonic landscapes. In 2013 came the first of three Positive Centre releases on Sigha’s Our Circula Sound label concluding with his debut album In Silent Series, of which his label takes its name. Returning artist from the UK, producer/DJ Jake Woodhouse aka Pris launched his label Resin in 2013 with the release of “Unbeknown To Us” 4-track. This was followed by ten expertly curated EPs from himself and others. With the move to Berlin came his debut EP on Avian, titled ‘This Heavy Heart’ in 2016. Always busy either producing himself or remixing, 2017 saw Pris release ‘Faith & Honour’ EP on Semantica Records. The same year, Pris released the final record on Resin, a remix EP. 2019 is set to be Pris’ busiest year yet, with several forthcoming releases and the promise of a new record label to showcase some of his best music to date. Florence-based Italian DJ/producer and co-owner of Sublunar Records, returning artist Sciahri’s approach to music is focused on the craft of a sound that blends the best of his energetic club-oriented influences with his constant experimentation in the sound development stage. He is also co-founder and part of UNKNOT together with Emanuele Porcinai, on Contort as WSR, and he has releases on a handful of well-known labels. Sciahri’s DJ sets try to convey, with the same intent of his studio productions, a vigorous vibe throughout a whole musical experience that isn’t a bare soulless banging, but rather a deep introspection into one’s primitive musical being.
