Tonight we are pleased to welcome back techno music icon, the “Baron of Techno” Dave Clarke. What more can one add to the olympus magnitude of Dave Clarke‘s resumé of electronic music history? With over 25 years making magic in the industry, he is one of the leaders in the international techno circus, helping to re-write the qualities of the post-punk generation through the purist of techno and electro styles among a world of fast-selling chart crossover target marketing schemes – he remains an outsider and alternative musician of the best kind. By 1992 Dave Clarke’s own label, Magnetic North, was on the rise and he suddenly found himself remixing the likes of Kevin Saunderson’s Inner City, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, Depeche Mode, Moby, Leftfield and Underworld. And then there’s White Noise, Clarke’s weekly radio show, a global institution and an indicator of where the scene is headed, more than 600 editions in and going out on over 100 FM partners worldwide. Now based in Amsterdam, Dave travels the world, playing at the biggest and most famous festivals and venues. Over the years, Dave Clarke‘s nights in our home have gained legendary status, and it is always the greatest of pleasures to welcome him back. In 1997 T.A.G. began collecting the corresponding equipment for the task and with enthusiasm began spinning records. From 1997-1999 his sound took on the Detroit/Techno/Minimal style and thereafter the influence of Tresor Records’ artists such as Cristian Vogel and Neil Landstrumm helped him develop his current Brighton techno sound. Starting in 1999 he began to get regular bookings and also through his own parties Ton-Art he gained a name for himself regionally. After several years and successful gigs, in 2003 he played in Tresor New Faces night which gave him the incentive to try out for the Tresor Award. Ultimately he was selected among the top three by demonstrating his mixing and sound technique. In 2005 T.A.G. was made an official member of the Headquarters team and in 2007 a resident DJ in Tresor.  And we also present a set by our skilled resident Mareena: her influences range far and wide, including anything from Detroit and Chicago acid to the more hypnotic take on dub, ambient, and techno. Throughout the years Mareena has performed extensively both locally and internationally, accomplishing the rare feat of earning a reputation solely as a DJ and curator. In Globus: duo annanan stands for raw and noisy vibrations. Their music’s energy is characterised by a harsh density and a balanced introspective dialogue of sounds, structures and atmospheres. It’s dark and abrasive tone, enriched by haunting vocals and melancholic synths, might dominate, however finds its complementary counterpart in wildly driving rhythms and particles of light, pending and pleasant melodic figures. annanan’s elaborated production and songwriting becomes most notable in their powerful and thrilling live sets. For more than a decade Alexander Dorn aka Credit 00 has shaken electronic sounds, stirring shapes and forms that adhere to few genre tags. Credit 00 operates Rat Life Records, makes music with synthesizers and drum machines and throws records in the mix. Inspired by the US Ghetto music of the 80s his journey to explore the endless universe of sound had kicked off. Leading him through many phases of musical preferences, concentrating on numerous styles, Credit 00’s mission became to combine different influences in DJing and production. Music without genre and boundaries is also the concept of his label Rat Life Records, since 2014 it has been a platform for his own output and those of like-minded artists. Moopie hails from Australia and runs A Colourful Storm label. He is a DJ known for invoking religious experiences with his stellar sets at Inner Varnika festival and other parties here and abroad. Moopie’s label A Colourful Storm will soon release a retrospective compilation of Australian Indie pop, acoustic jangle and beat happenings compiled by himself and local DJ and collector Bayu. VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) is the subproject of the Berlin based artist Artik. With Influences that come from Electro, acid, d&b to hip hop or 90`s UK Base. VCO is a member and resident DJ at the notorious queer crew Same Bitches, known to throw 30+ hour turbulent parties in Berlin, which sets the new global standard for raving.
