We welcome back the American-Dutch producer and graphic designer Sheela Rahman aka Xosar back in our home tonight with her beguiling sound, a mix of unnerving atmospheres, keenly bolted onto raw techno tempos and haunting dark powers that she continues to impress us with. Xosar has turned out a steady stream of well-received singles and a debut full length on influential labels. Her live set is an accomplished, laptop-free one: taking in multiple drum machines, sequencer-samplers and effects, Xosar manipulates sound into dark, brooding and mysterious ghostly shadows of techno and beyond. Having played in practically all of the most well-known venues on the globe, we are excited to experience Xosar’s terrific live set tonight in the basement. Returning artist Len Ander Som is a Rotterdam-based underground dance music DJ, recording music since 2012 under his alias Lenson, and responsible for Paling Trax since 2015. Playing a broad mixture of Chicago House and Detroit Techno with lots of raw acid 90’s cuts and adding EBM, Wave, Electro and Industrial excursions, his vision definitely doesn’t have a linear perspective in his DJ sets. As a vinyl purist, gear scientist and general purveyor of all forms of hardware, Lenson is ready to shake some dancefloors all over, watch out. Locked Club & Hespermen hail from Russia and are associated with Moscow-based record label Private Persons. The team introduced the label’s UK radio debut last May. Locked Club’s records have been tearing up dancefloors: high energy driving electro, EBM fueled techno and acid of the highest order. Private Persons label owner Hesperman is a top selector and DJ guaranteed to cause tremors on the floor. In Globus: Frenchman Luc Kheradmand aka Voiski started DJing and producing in 2006. Famous for his uninterrupted loops, whether they are part of more intense techno tracks, straight up electro-pieces, or his recent productions that carry a more gentle approach. Coming from an art school background, Voiski is one of the most analytical constructive artists on the scene, well aware of his own process, continuously examining it as he goes further. Voiski started his first label in 2008, the now dormant Silicate, an ambitious project he describes as something between “a gallery and a label”. Super 95 was set up in 2017 for the release of his full-length debut “Disconnections, Music For Clouds”. His sets reflects his own personal interpretation of techno; here outer space transmitted loops are sent and reiterating signals perpetually spirals over his trademark cosmic grooves – explore this talent during his live set tonight. Wata Igarashi has quickly emerged as one of Japan’s leading DJs and producers. He has been exploring the deeper side of techno through well-received EPs, as well as standout tracks on compilations. By day, Igarashi works as a sound producer and the skills he has developed through his work are reflected in his productions, which are distinguished by their subtle and carefully polished feel. Igarashi pursues a similar sound in his DJ sets, developing a distinctive take on the more trippy and psychedelic brand of techno Japan has become known for. We welcome back Mother’s Finest artist Elisabeth, a local house DJ who on the contrary finds herself behind the decks in the hippest clubs around Berlin and the country, serving up her unique style of house music for the dancefloor.
