Exium is an electronic music duo of producers and performing artists Valentín Corujo and Héctor Sandoval. Their musical careers have flowed together from their origins as DJs back in 1994, playing as resident DJs in small clubs in Spain’s Asturias region. After forming Exium, shortly afterward they released their first 12″ in the English label Zet in 2000, followed by releases on a long list of international labels, their tracks being played by some of the world’s most famous DJs. 2004 saw the birth of Nheoma, a label for them to give expression to their style with total freedom. In 2008 they set up a new project called “Selección Natural” together with fellow countrymen Oscar Mulero, Christian Wünsch and Reeko. Exium have also collaborated with the Fiumfoto collective creating soundtracks for video installations and short films under the name Exfium. And in 2011 they set a new and important milestone along their path with the release of their first LP album: Roots of Time. Tonight we celebrate 20 years of the dynamic talent of our friends Exium – happy anniversary! Inigo Kennedy is a pioneering and respected techno & electronic music producer/DJ from the UK. He is well known for always bringing technical and creative originality and skill to his work. Owner of the innovative and genre-defying label Asymmetric, Inigo Kennedy has also been responsible for a large and diverse back catalog of releases on a wide variety of labels and projects around the world. Rob Hall began his career at techno night Megatripolis in London in 1992, with the first of many appearances with Autechre. Since then he has played support DJ on most of the highly successful Warp duo’s tours over the years. Expertly blurring the lines between techno, electronica, industrial, ebm, rave, and electro in his sets, Rob’s skills have seen him engaged to perform at many high profile events and international festivals over the years. From 1995 to 2006, Rob Hall worked closely with Andy Maddocks and Ged O’Hara running the highly respected Skam Records label. Rob has also contributed to numerous productions, remixes and live sets as part of the Gescom project, a collective that includes a diverse range of famous producers. In Globus: Ngly is no stranger to our home, and the divulging dynamic sounds from his terrific live sets in 2014/2015 are difficult to describe yet carry such diversity as to create quite a unique universe somewhere between house and techno – tonight Ngly is back with a live performance again. Based in Berlin with an underground tendency, this is evident on releases on CCCP and the outstanding L.I.E.S. Recordings run by Ron Morelli, on which he released his debut full-length in 2014. Spearheads of the UK Acid House revival, the duo Posthuman are residents & bosses at long-running club night & vinyl-only label “I Love Acid”. They have run well over a hundred parties since 2007 across the UK & Europe – with current regular residencies in London and Manchester. They also host the monthly I Love Acid radio show, and review column “Acid House Corner”. Releasing on a handful of international labels, Posthuman‘s shows are often a mix of live hardware jams spliced with acid house & DJ edits. Returning duo Juan Ignacio Chiri & Guido Sartoris are the Argentinian outfit E110101, who stopped by our home during their European tour in 2017 and we welcome them back. That same year they released the “Back To Basics” EP on their own Detroit Classic Gallery label. The DCG imprint is based on a classic sound, proposing a visionary but retrospective look, that unfolds a range of styles capable of satisfy the most demanding ears. Jose Cabrera aka J.C. from Spain, who debuted in Tresor on one of the Echoes nights, and he expresses a style of simple, raw, stripped down and hypnotic techno. In 2012, J.C. started the AHD label together with his friend Damian Schwartz, and he produced his first EP for the Argentinian label Greener Records at the beginning of 2013. After several other innovative releases, J.C. joined the Tresor label family with his different blends in subtle electronics.
