On the Tresor Floor we welcome back Tresor Records artist Sleeparchive for another intense live set. One of the most innovative artists in modern techno, Sleeparchive is a sort of post-90s electronic deity with a penchant for the future. Joining the Tresor label in 2011 with “Ronan Point” (Tresor.243) and on to “A Man Dies On The Street” Pts. 1 & 2 (Tresor.260/264), Sleeparchive’s music is just as hazy, deep and full of shady nuances that, like treasure, only appear if you’re willing to keep probing. Noncompliant: Raw techno from a 20+ year veteran DJ based in the Midwest U.S. Mixmag named her one of 2017’s Top 20 Breakthrough DJs. Noncompliant owned a packed and sweaty Boiler Room during Movement Detroit, turned in mindblowing mixes for Slam Radio, Discwoman, and Resident Advisor, and quaked some of the world’s most respected dance floors in top international venues and festivals. At her core, Noncompliant is a die-hard techno fan with a deep love for music and a drive to continue honing her craft as a DJ and producer in order to share her favorite music with people on dance floors everywhere. In 1996 returning artist and longtime Tresor friend Bill Youngman’s “Electrostep” EP dropped a bomb on the international techno scene, and his ensuing releases on Tresor Records, as well as his incredible high-energy live performances, created blissful havoc in the dungeon. Tonight he brings his techno dynamite to the Tresor decks once again – not to be missed. Returning artist Janzon Runge aka Janzon is influenced by IDM, Techno, Leftfield and other genres from which he developed his very unique sound. Janzon released his first solo EP “The Primal Scream”, followed up by “Twisted Dust” in 2015, both on Moerbeck’s Code Is Law label. Since 2014 Janzon is resident at Stuttgart’s “Lehmann”, the home of one of the most innovative Techno nights in Germany. In Globus: Bryan Kasenic is founder of the Bunker New York, label head since 2003 and resident DJ. More than a mere techno party, The Bunker unites diverse sounds from across the electronic music spectrum, connecting the dots between house, techno, experimental sounds, and much more. Bryan is a sought-after DJ, performing at international parties, events and festivals on a regular basis. Currently, Bryan also hosts a weekly show on Red Bull Music Academy Radio, featuring The Bunker’s friends and family. Additionally, he has himself co-produced numerous events and festivals, including several years at Unsound Festival New York. Unsound is one of the leading electronic and experimental music festivals worldwide, and Bryan subsequently brought The Bunker to Krakow, Poland, Unsound’s native city. We welcome Bunker’s maverick DJ to our decks. A frequent guest in our home and now Berlin-based Derek Plaslaiko quietly paid his dues on Detroit’s rave circuit from his nearby hometown, and quickly earned a reputation for forward-thinking DJ sets that were clinical, sophisticated and extremely sensual. This combination resulted in a residency for Family, the weekly party at Detroit’s legendary Motor. Some will know Derek Plaslaiko as a favorite of the mid-90s Detroit warehouse scene, which lead to a personal invite from Carl Craig to appear at the inaugural Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000. His near decade-long residency at New York’s Bunker parties garnered him “Best Techno Party DJ” by the Village Voice in 2006. Returning artist Katerina is from Helsinki, Finland via Sofia, Bulgaria, a passionate music lover, a skilful DJ, an imaginative music maker and an emotional and hypersensitive artist. She produces music that is essential and timeless – you can hear it on some of the latest Cómeme releases, notably Katerina’s first successful EP “Just when you thought it was over”. Her sets are always avant-garde and psychedelic, filled with Punk sensibility and heavily emotional on all levels; you’ll swing through a heavy pumping techno beat to suddenly find yourself floating in a cloud of dreamy electro vibes, being tossed around between mellow and heavy, melancholic and ecstatic sounds, once Katerina has seduced the crowd and it’s willing to go through all highs and lows with her on an intense sonic and sensual adventure. Jasen Loveland is a mercurial force, he has a very active mind and is a very skilled artist in multiple mediums. His dedication is constantly inspiring. Acid Series Vol. 1 is Jasen Loveland‘s debut release on International Transmissions, in celebration of No Way Back’s 10 years. Affiliated also with Acid Camp and NYC’s Bunker (for which a track is included on the 15 Years of The Bunker compilation released in 2018, that hints at a musical mind steeped in classic dance-music psychedelia), we welcome this talented DJ back to the Globus decks.
